Undertale on Steam

 

I picked Undertale up on a random whim and it's one of the best RPG's I've ever played. I'd heartily recommend it to anyone who likes indie darlings.

 

 

Anyone else play this? Even on a place like GTAF, someone's gotta have played it.

Played it, it's quite good. Actually made me cry on a couple of occasions. The gameplay, I must admit, is soundly in "meh" territory, perhaps a bit higher thanks to the great soundtrack during boss encounters. The story is obviously the main pull of this game, and it's a great one. All/most of the characters are memorable.

 

Also, it can be horrendously difficult at times in a pacifist run, particularly during boss fights.

I don't the hype surrounding it.

Honestly, I played it for a bit and liked it. So far, trying to do a Neutral Run, with different outcomes, then a Pacifist Run, and finally, the GENOCIDE RUN.

 

I wish this game was also out for consoles, though, like the PS4, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 & PS Vita, maybe with a special "Disable the Genocide Run effects" unlocked after completing both Soulless Pacifist & Genocide runs, as told by Sans & Papyrus, something like "Left, Left, Right, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down, Y, B" (or Triangle, Circle on Playstation, X, A on Nintendo). I even came up with my own achievements/trophies.

Date Boned (5G, Bronze) - Date Papyrus enough times to let him give you his phone number.

Anime Is Real! (5G, Bronze) - Tell Undyne that anime is real.

Saved A Prayer (5G, Bronze) - Enter the cheat code to undo the Genocide Run effects.

get dunked on! (0G, Bronze) - Let Sans hug you during his boss fight and kill you.

But Nobody Came (5G, Bronze) - Kill enough monsters so that you'll no longer encounter them.

Sparing With Determination (10G, Bronze) - Find out a way to spare every single monster (non-bosses) in the Pacifist Run.

Unstoppable Thief (10G, Bronze) - Steal every item from every shop in the Genocide Run.

Frisky Early End (25G, Bronze) - Name your character "Frisk" and complete the Hard Mode.

Dodged A Bullet (30G, Silver) - Switch from a Genocide Run to a Neutral Run.

Not So Pacifistic (20G, Silver) - Switch from a Pacifist Run to a Neutral Run.

A Determined Neutralist (60G, Gold) - Complete the Neutral Run.

What Happened to the Others? (40G, Gold) - Find all of the possible outcomes of the Neutral Run.

Exactly Like the Tagline (70G, Gold) - Complete the Pacifist Run.

Unsavable Monster (50G, Gold) - Complete the Genocide Run.

Everyone Lives... Or Do They? (60G, Gold) - Complete a Soulless Pacifist Run.

Still a Monster After All... (40G, Gold) - Complete a Soulless Genocide Run.

Making Undyne Proud (100G, Gold) - Complete the story mode in any run without taking any damage.

The Undertalist (160G, Platinum) - Collect all of the Undertale achievements/trophies.
