Special Carbine or Combat MG?

I used to use Combat MG, now I almost exclusively use the Special Carbine. Using the Special Carbine during PvP is more efficient in terms of ammo as you aren't losing up to 200 shells each time you die.

Combat MG. Very Punchy and pretty accurate at most ranges (not to mention it makes you look like rambo :) ). Get some distance between you an the target and let rip. You'll take them down over a good distance and if your lucky get 2 or 3 spawn kills before you're taken out. The closer you are to the target the more deadly the gun becomes.

I like both. Carbine, special carbine, and bullpup are deadly accurate for head shots. Combat MG is a brute and more effective at longer ranges. I mainly use it against people wearing bulletproof helmets. That helmet just doesn't stand up against it.

Menstrual Deranged

I like to switch back and forth between the two. They both look good in pink.

I like to switch between the two also. It depends on the situation at hand for which I may use either of the two. I find myself using the Combat MG when I'm in a long range battle because the reach is pretty nice on it, so it definitely gives a nice help. Close combat and the like, I tend to use the Special Carbine and aim for head shots, as said before. The Carbine is one of the good weapons for easy head shots.

Carbine for closer fights, where it's all about snapping in/out of cover and quickly getting headshots. The accuracy helps it here.

Combat MG for long range free aiming shooting, where you're a bit too close for sniping, but too far for auto aiming and accurate headshots. Just hose them down with bullets; the damage is nice on this gun.

Special Carbine all day, every day.

Aim at their head btw, most effective spot with that wep. :3

Combat MG i feel does better against the BPHs.

Before helmets were introduced, I preferred the regular Carbine Rifle.

Back when two head-shots neutralized the combat roll. Oh those were the days.

When I'm in cover I like the carbine, it feels quicker when you're popping out from behind the wall or whatever. Can get rounds downrange faster. Combat MG works out when you've got an established field of fire and you just want to subscribe to the "spray until problem goes away" philosophy

I keep switching between combat machine gun, special carbine, advanced rifle and bullpup rifle. Bad habit. Other than range I hardly notice a difference between special and advanced.

Mainly use Combat though since the buff.

Special carbine looks gay. I use the AR almost exclusively for all engagements. Plenty of power, great accuracy at all ranges, and a crisp report.

Don't hold down the trigger on the combat MG, TAP the trigger for much more accurate fire especially at longer ranges.

Sorry for sharing the secret LOL. :D

Special carbine is the best all purpose weapon in the game. But Combat MG is my all time favorite gun.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

Ever since I finally finished SP a couple of weeks ago and finally used the advanced rifle that's all I really use now but before that it was the combat mg.

Special Carbine :

~ combination of carbine rifle and advanced rifle ( accuracy + damage )

~ featured in heist prison break , humane labs raid and pacific standard

~ faster reloading speed

~ capable using flashlight and silencer , something LMG category couldn't do

~ cheaper and no level requirement

Combat MG :

~ recently buffed damage ( 45 in-game files ) , at which 3-4 bullets kill person

~ highest magazine capacity ( up to 200 ammo ) , only dwarfed by minigun ( which carries up to 9999 )

~ longest range of automatic weapons

~ one of best choice for " crowd sweeping " ( engaging shootout aganist multiple foes ) , especially if the wielder doesn't have minigun

~ even without a minigun , this LMG can takeout a helicopter ( combined with recent buff )

Having played on the PC and PS3, I am pretty certain they increased the recoil on the combat machine gun in the former, probably because with a mouse it could be devastating. I used it all the time on the PS3 - but rarely now on the PC.

Having played in first person a bit (which makes it more visible), I am also convinced the Advanced Rifle has lower recoil in the category. When you look down the sight you can see how much impact it has. Absolutely swear by it, even though the stats say the Carbines are more accurate.

I must defend the accuracy of the CMG. It is more accurate than people think, even at range, As has been said, don't spray. Use auto lock and tap up to head shot. Otherwise free aim and you'll have no problem.

I love my Combat MG, but it's not usually the best option against other players (except at longer ranges in open areas). It's best against NPCs with the long range and "practically bottomless" ammo belt. Its relatively-low rate of fire means you may not get the 3-4 bullets to hit your opponent before they get back behind cover.

It's also the only engraved-weapon I like with the black/platinum gun and gold scope.

Special Carbine is my favorite against other players. My low-ranked days before Spring of 2014 would have panned out much better for me if I had access to it.
