To those who kick players from jobs, why?

You really aren't gonna let this go, huh?

I actually did Landing Strip forced-solo the other day because my low level (sigh, shoulda kicked him) random teammate drove around aimlessly for half the mission, then quit without ever killing a single bad guy or helping me get the plane. I did just as you suggest: landed at the far end of the runway and killed everyone myself with a sniper and RPG. (You have to use an RPG on vehicles coming at you sometimes, or they'll drive right by and blow up the plane.) Yeah, it's possible. It's also annoying and the mission works far better with a decent teammate who can go clear the runway for you.

Landing Gear: I always thought you needed to deliver at least two planes, so it's good to know otherwise. But that opening portion involves enough violence and moving vehicles around that I prefer playing with people who, again, are at least competent. Then once you take off, they come after you in attack helicopters - you either have to outrun them, or land and take them out, or kill them all before you ever actually take off to begin with. All of which is annoying and takes much less effort with a teammate.

Another mission that is far better with a teammate is 4 Trailers, because you do have to deliver both trucks; doing it by yourself requires two trips. Not hard, just boring. A worse one is the one where you crack the safe inside the Merryweather base (I am spacing on the mission name); that used to be not too bad solo, but they changed it so that the enemy spawns are infinite, and if you don't have another person helping you sometimes end up sitting in there killing dozens upon dozens of guys, and never get a good chance to run. I've still beaten that solo after they patched it, but it's a nightmare compared to how it used to be. Likewise with Base Invaders, which has always been a nightmare to do solo unless you use a Buzzard/Savage/Hydra (and I prefer not to, just for the challenge).

And don't forget that some missions have ways for incompetent randoms to fail the mission even without dying - mainly involving blowing up the objective or certain vehicles needed for the mission.

In truth there's not a 1 player mission in the game I haven't beaten solo numerous times, and even most of the 2+ player ones I've finished solo after a teammate or two got killed. That doesn't mean that I WANT to play them that way. I'd rather kick the low level and wait on a higher level - or just not play the mission. But I don't usually kick low levels from missions, just from heists.

Set your match-making to closed in your settings and it should stay closed. That will stop randoms getting in before you can set match-making to closed in the mission lobby. Been that way since October 2013.......

If I (186) am hosting and my friends (one of them is 122, second one is 140ish and the latter one is only 14 because he has recently started playing and he didn't want to transfer) and I are trying to do a heist (either all or some of us) and you're a low level with horrible stats you're OBVIOUSLY getting kicked.

Call me whatever you want, but it's MY heist and you're just a more-than-easy target for the overpowered AI.

I kick players for various reasons...my number one reason is if I consider a player to be someone who will display immature behavior during the mission or heist. The type of behavior I am referring to is literally crashing every 30 seconds, running other players over purposely, crashing into other players purposely, rushing into battle, shooting flares or weapons when flying or cruising with other players, holding the mission objective "to get more money," etc. There is no 100% method to detecting these morons, but a good indication for not being up to my standards are players who dress retarded, have sh*tty stats, and are a low level. Now the player may be trying to boost up their second character, but there are too many little kids and trolls joining for me to take that chance. If you show up in my lobby with a 0.12 K/D, one strength bar, and only your boxers on with dress shoes, you sir- will be kicked.

I know K/D shouldn't mean jack sh*t, but from MY experience- players with very low kill death ratios are not smart enough to take cover or use armor and snacks in missions and heists. They usually suck against the A.I.

Another reason I may kick someone is because I am hosting a mission for some friends and I forgot to close the matchmaking. I usually message people apologizing and letting them know I am playing with others.

Whatever the reason is for me kicking players- it's nothing personal. I'm just tired of taking chances with my enjoyment of the game trying to please and respect everyone. Something's got to give. So yeah, I support Virtual Profiling. :p

If someone joins my mission, I kick them regardless of their level. I always prefer to play solo because you never know how competent they are, they could just hold me back.

Most ppl who kick are too dumb to close matchmaking before hosting. You are a proof of this.
Or you know...they end up joining right away before I get the chance to close it. I always close matchmaking when doing missions. Sometimes people just sneak in though.
God! you are really stupid. Here's the key words: CLOSE MATCHMAKING BEFORE HOSTING. D'UH!
Wow very mature of you, you're totally not a hypocrite. Like I explained twice in my last post, a lot of the time when I load up the mission, someone starts joining before I even get the chance to change any settings.

Now I know you're b*tching about me not having it closed before loading the mission, but there other gamemodes that I play, in which I'd rather have other people in the lobby. So that's why I leave it open, I just close it when in missions.

I should've known better than to come to the Online section, people are always complaining that a lot of the people here are ignorant little sh*ts and this is a prime example.

The guy with the bright green look at me text is questioning other people's maturity, ha.

Completely off topic, but I'm just curious as to how using different color text affects one's maturity?

Pretty much all the reasons are good and valid. I don't know how to make it different, nor that should it even be different, but it does suck when it's your second character. I'm level 170-something, and second has just started. I don't use it much since i can't host anything, and I'm getting kicked from everything. I need to start it with friends who have higher level jobs, i know, but it's somewhat frustrating. I have bought all the DLC guns, so I'm not actually lacking in firepower, either.

Because it's a childish thing to do and is only done because they think it will bring more attention to their post. Basically it's just a way of saying LOOK AT ME I'M SPECIAL which is an immature thing to do and judging by the multiple likes I got on that post I'm not the only one who thinks that way.

Maybe, just maybe I leave matchmaking open because I want it open, not because I'm so "stupid" as you like to call me. Funny thing is people are calling me immature because I choose to write in a different color font, when you're the one going around calling people stupid for playing the game differently than you do.

Honestly I don't see what's so entertaining about a guy minding his own business answering OP's question. I seem to be missing something here.

That's a good one, someone is childish because they write in a different color. I write in green because I like the way it looks.

Whether I write in green or white, my message stays the same, which is that Grand Theft Amanda thinks she's being clever by calling people idiots for no reason.

^ THIS ....

most hosts don't know how to set their matchmaking options and the real clueless ones will give you the argument that people join before they can close it! :miranda:

R* should just disable the kick option if a host launches a mission with matchmaking set to open

they do it because they cant figure out that there is a no matchmaking feature that does work.

i understand your pain, happens to me too more often than not. i assume its because the host has been traumatized by randoms and doesnt wanna deal with the stress of "will the run me over or will they not".

That's the thing, most people don't understand that if you don't want people joining, change Matchmaking to CLOSED.

I didn't read through all the posts, but I don't get why I get kicked from races, missions, heists, etc for no reason. If you want to do it with friends/crew only it's quite simple. Set matchmaking to closed, and only hit the invite friends, or crew members tab. If you want to run it solo, even simpler. Keep it set at Closed, and hit play. It boggles my mind how anyone can hit Auto Invite not knowing it's going to send out invites all over the place, and to anyone to Quick Jobs.

Either you just like calling people dumb/stupid or you didn't see this post:

I'm totally aware of that, thanks for being rational. The reason I don't have it closed at all times is because I do races way more often than missions, so it makes more sense to have it on by default, then I just switch it off in the mission lobby.

theGTAking101 gave a smart reason to keep match making open.

Anyone who bothered to read all of both your posts would know you're being overly rude for no good reason. It's not anything personal if you get kicked out of a job. You're just assuming everything way too much and it's making you look like a fool.

If you want me to over assuming then maybe it's because you're angry due to personal experiences of being kicked out of jobs. Actually maybe it's just because you speak before thinking.

Most ppl don't like color writing but you don't get it.

Again with the wild assumption. I'm pretty sure theGTAking101 got how literally one other user said they didn't like color writing.

Maybe they just like using different color text? I could say the same about you. Trying to make smart remarks to get attention. Judging by the replies to theGTAking101's post, he definitely has a lot of attention now, regardless of you wanting to give him attention or not.

On topic, sometimes I'm trying to let a friend join the lobby but a random takes the last slot, or if I'm in a race, and someone starts driving backwards and being a general nuisance I'll kick them.
