Does anyone obey every traffic law in GTA? No, OP. No, they do not.

Honestly last month i was driven by a random obeying to traffic lights.

Must say i never saw that before but yea...apperantly it does happen :)

I'm only level 89, so I'm either grinding like a madman or resting from grinding like a madman. In grinding mode I don't care if I damage my car because it's magically fixed after every mission. So it's drive my armored supercar like a crackhead time.

When I'm resting I call up my topless Peyote with the expensive chrome wheels and chillax driving 5 miles below the speed limit.

It's a video game. I drive how I want. Which is normally fast, includes sidewalks and ignoring of stoplights or whatnot at any given time.

last night i was driving my turismo r like a maniac knocking down street signs etc (that's because i did a 24/7 robbery that led me into a 4 star wanted level).

I like to drive at slowish to moderate speeds for a couple of reasons

A, it gives me an extra turn of speed when I need it, be that overtaking or trying to escape pursuers

B, I've spent a lot of money on exotic cars and upgrading them. And I like to arrive at the mission objective without the front bumper hanging off. Minus a door and windscreen.

I'm sure most here are good drivers but the average driving standard of many players I come across is pretty dire, but their self opinion because they drive flashy cars is somewhat misguided.

How many times have we all ridden with another player in a t20 or zentorno and cringe at their insistence at driving flat out yet being unable to avoid a single car or tree/sign/lamppost and then barrel rolling at every other turn

I don't stop at lights or junctions but I'm aware of their presence and the likelihood of being sideswiped, I know the limits of my cars handling and my own ability and drive accordingly

Yes and i even stop for pedestrians and the non-existent animals in GTA Online. I don't kill in GTA Online as well! Made it to rank 265 just with playing golf, arm wrestling and (the best way to rank up without killing anybody)... singing in the shower! :)

if driving around is the goal;

i kinda enjoy to drive like i would in real life if my life depends on it and nothing else counts (like speeding tickets, losing the drivers licence, going to jail...), but trying not to take any chances of crashing the car or hitting pedestrians. this means i really make a fullstop if needed and not just crash the car through the intersects like i dont care, or using the other car as a cornering help while bumping in to it. that would be the case if getting somewhere as fast as possbile is the goal.

I'm not stopping for anything, but I also drive carefully. Flooring it through the lamp posts, civilians and traffic is for noobs. I powerslide through corners, drift if I can, going at high speeds while not having a scratch on my car. Like a pro :D

Drive smart, read the road and use some common sense. At high speeds it means the difference between rear ending a Serrano or zooming past a whole queue of them.

In 3rd person I'm not flooring it but I ain't obeying any speed limits or traffic lights.

In 1st person......I actually drive like a real human would.

I often obey the traffic rules when I'm padding out mission time.

But the vast majority drive like lunatics, using the environment rather than their brakes to slow them down. I never accept lifts from randoms as it gives me motion sickness.

I saw a player as a passenger in a taxi.I jump in a taxi sometimes, set the gps for paleto, then go and make tea or roll up.

Nice to see if you've survived the journey when you get back.

I have done the same (taxi - sometimes the tram or train too), mainly if eating or busy rolling a doob...interesting to see how many folk come after you.

i haven't used the taxi since about 2014 because the taxi driver is so freaking slow, he usually does about 35 mph on the freeway.

Only things I slow down for are those OP road signs when I slide into one of them. That and traffic sort of.

I haven't answered the poll, because the answer is "it depends".

Where required, I will drive as fast as I can.

When I'm just dicking around I drive at a more reasonable pace, though still speeding. I will run red lights and stop signs, but with a degree of care so as to avoid crashes.

When I'm alone in invite-only and I have a bounty for whatever reason I will drive around as if it were real life, just to kill time and escape the bounty.

Like markyhitch, I will obey traffic laws to pad out mission time; in San Andreas Soul for example I've usually lost my wanted level by the time I reach Carson Avenue, so I'll obey every traffic light along that road.

When I'm on a bicycle... traffic laws don't apply. I only wish Rockstar had implemented skin-tight cycling clothing and proper cycle helmets, so I could look as twatty in the game as I do in real life. :p

What's a "speed limit"?

Oh I know, it's how fast the car can go.
