It depends on what's going on. If I'm grinding Crystal Clear Out III alone I tend to obey the speed limit to my buzzard/savage/hydra to run the clock.

 

It's also pretty fun to try to drive within the law in first person.

 

Usually though I try to obey the law but get frustrated and pass a guy, then another, then I'm just hauling ass at 100 mph down the road.

depends, if delivering cars to simion/lsc i will drive safely. if not i will drive fast but safely, i mean ask the pedestrain who was under my ex-carbon while i wasnt on it.

 

but yea if play along with the rules you will get punished as there is that guy who will put a sticky up your arse "cause it fun".. so normally floor it when there is space to do so, unless im in a hurry then il just go for it.

My kids play SP occasionally. I've told them no shooting or driving over pedestrians. They stop at the lights and do all kinds of role-playing-stuff. So there is at least a few calm drivers, but they are strictly in single player... ;D

It's a shame there isn't anything remotely as good game for kids.

I stay in my lane or on my side of the road, I make proper lane changes, I slow at intersections and even stop most times unless the light is green or the intersection is empty. But I don't really drive that slow especially when nobodies in front of me. Basically I drive like someone with a sports car and a lead foot irl. It's just funner that way.

 

I don't have time to be worrying about scratches and bumps and speeding around just gets boring really quick. You don't really stop to enjoy the car or the sights when you're just mashing the throttle 247. It's fun to take it slow sometimes. Pull up to a stoplight, rev, take off. Stop and look at an intersection before you peel out. Weave in and out of traffic with precision. It's a lot more enjoyable.

 

I'm still not a big fan of V's driving physics so cruising is funner to me anyway. In IV, I liked driving fast a little bit more. And powerslides felt a lot more rewarding so I pulled them quite a lot at intersections because why not?

 

So do I follow the rules of the road? In short yes. But am I a safe driver? No. But you can have more fun driving slower than speeding around 247. Seriously that sh*t got old at age 8, it's probably why so many players claim they hate cars, it's because they drive like idiots. Go figure.

Sometimes if I'm doing something like Blow Up and only paying a quarter attention I'll cruise over there slow as hell. If I'm driving a particularly nice car like a Casco back to it's home after a long session of madness or money grinding then I'll tend to drive carefully, waiting for a gap to overtake and so on. Can't be arsed waiting for green lights though.

I avoid peds at all costs too , like to drive my car around clean...you bump a ped at 1mph and will looks like a cheerleader on period just humped your car

Back in the RR grinding days i got annoyed with one of the zentorno driving mouth breathers who was in the mission with me so I made sure to grab the briefcase before he did, called up my emperor sedan and drove like a grandma all the way back to martin's house, stopped at every light, even pulled into a gas station.
