Evidently R* doesn't allow you to take modded money anymore: Got banned yesterday for picking up around 500k. Not enough Cash Cards sales, I suppose.

 

guessing you didn't report it to them then? Rockstar has repeatedly said that if when you receive modded money from the cheaters that if you report it to them they won't ban you, but if you don't report it, and and they find out, you could end up banned.

 

even then it's kind of dumb that they hit you with the banhammer for picking up 500k. That is hardly enough money to be able to buy anything in this game. If it was 500 million, or 500 billion I could see why they would ban you then, but 500k is like nothing in this game with the way everything is priced.

 

 

Wow. "Hey R* some guy dropped money on me, please remove", 30 minutes later "Some other guy dropped money, please remove", 30 more minutes later "Hello, it happened again", 30 MORE minutes later "Hi, R* guess what happened?" :D

Answer: The adjusted account balances are the result of removing modded money. If you already spent some or all of the modded money you were given, you may find that your account balance after adjustment is lower than it was before you received the counterfeit money - this is correct as you will be allowed to keep the items you bought. For accounts that would have been left with little or no GTA$ after correction, we added sufficient funds to continue playing and enjoying GTA Online, taking into account whether a player intentionally created and distributed modded GTA$ or received modded money innocently."

There's more to this story, you didn't get banned for picking up 500k.

 

There are several things which raise flags at R*, one of which is "High Earner". You wouldn't qualify for that based on just 500k. I have mates who have tens of modded millions, not banned or even flagged.

 

You've done something to get yourself flagged. I won't argue the point with you, but there's definitely something else going on here.

I noticed less explosions and less money spawner, but god mode and teleporting around is still going strong.

There'll be less people spawning money. All the other mods are still active. It'll be this way until a free version of the latest injection kit comes out, then money spawning will also be back again.

 

Godmode, teleport, lobby bomb, remove weapons etc etc etc are all still available.

Not all modders are bad. Some, like me, use the mods to fight cheaters. When you've got a good DM or capture going you don't want it spoiled by some hack monkey with an aim bot or god mode. I've never used God modes or any mods to give myself an advantage over other players and people that do should be banned longer than 2 weeks. Sure, I've given myself a few bucks. But I consider it payment for services provided. I'm kinda like a super hero.

It seems they jumped back to the xbox 360.

 

I've reported 6 in the last week.

 

One guy, my crew kept taking turns parking our cars on him until the other finished the report, then we all jumped to a different lobby.

 

lol I think he got mad tho since he couldn't do anything for about 20 minutes.

 

Since we had to "make sure" he was a modder and kept parking on him. LOL

This. I bet the guy was idling. Also, he should be able to just delete the reports you made. The whole parking on top of them stuff you are talking about sounds more those modded dsn's like back in early 2014, which gave god mode, but nothing like a real modder would be able to do.

I was driving the other day and a hacker hopped into my car and fully modded my vehicle while i was driving :O

I take back part of what I said on page 4. I found a bit of fun in GTA5 when I played it for an hour yesterday to check if there really wasn't any cheaters left (didn't run into any). It was boring as always until I joined snipers vs stunters by accident which followed by an invite to a derby match, most fun I had since I transferred from 360. If only there were more people to play with and most wouldn't leave once they die. ;(

Some of the PVP modes are fun, but sometimes it's really hard to find people to play them with and the payouts are super low compared to missions. It's kind of a shame really since I'm personally super tired of missions and heists.

Let's just hope this measure actually lasts, I'm not an expert about security systems but we all know all the tries to fight hack software users would always fail since the creators of such softwares would always be able to turn arround their measures.

 

Still, it does sound like an huge update and well deserved for the PC players, let's watch to see if it really does the free roam public sessions playable.

 

About those temporary bans for picking money an hacker dropped, I'd immediately contact R*. You haven't broke any rules by doing so since it wasn't you modding it, and you're not obligated to know that was modded money (even if it's totally obvious).

I'll believe that when R* starts preventing cheats and insta-kicking/banning people (you know, like even sad Punkbuster can do?), instead of banwaves and money wipes after the fact.

 

Never underestimate the hax. They thrive on challenges...it's why in real life (let alone a video game) you can buy people's credit card accounts online...

i only use mods when people behave like dicks or bully other players

and i never drop money in public lobbies, kinda like an admin :)

Makes me happy and sad simultaneously. Sad, because I actually appreciate the money some hackers gave me due to the fact that I'm really tired of grinding in this game. Happy, because of all the douchebag hackers that just make everyone explode randomly and blame it on somebody else.

 

Sigh, I wish we got FiveM back.
