Great news to PC players ...new ban wave

Man, I've dealt with modders for years. The ONLY modder I ever reported was one that was claiming to CID ban people, and repeatedly blew up the entire lobby for a few mins.

 

I admit it gets annoying as f*ck- and I don't know how bad it truly is on PC,

 

In response, I'll grief, passive, switch lobbies, or go invite only. Just is the nature of the beast. I also have to state that if it wasn't for being able to mod vehicles and such, I'd not play the game, period. And I've been playing the series since the first one. It's basically been the reason I've bought each of my playstations. But that's just me.

 

I will admit that being in lobbies with other ofw people, 99% of them think they're hot sh*t and do the same things. However, in those cases, it's squeakers.

Started up GTA Online today. As soon as I join the first server, me and a bunch of others get blown up lol. Actually didn't encounter any hackers in other servers after that tho. Also I've actually gained a fair amount of money from several random hackers, but didn't get banned. Idk how well R* can actually detect that.

I feel like I should just get myself a trainer to give myself a bit of money every once in a while and mess around with friends in a private server. If I get banned then I'll just go play something else. A perma-ban would suck, but as far as I know those aren't given that often.

I am in exactly the same boat and just want to play free from hackers. Shame that dream is doubtful on PC now, but maybe one day....

 

More likely the next GTA, when R* realise strict enforcement and good detection software is needed.

Your 3rd ban will be a perma ban. The first will be around 14 days, and the second 1-3 months.

- And R* can still detect you using the trainer. Even in private sessions with or without friends.

 

Although you can be perma banned straight away. Usually if you spawn in money.

I highly advise against it. Modded money is the only field in GTAO modding that Rockstar has actually shown any real progress in detecting it.

 

You'd have a smaller chance of being banned if you just go and explode 50 sessions repeatedly.

I really don't get these people. Do they really expect to be unbanned? If they used mods then they broke the rules and R* won't care about their complaints.

I know right. This one time a modder teleported next to me, blew up my car and when I respawned he tazed me and dropped money on me. It wasn't much, around 200k. But like if taking money from modders is bannable then they are going to exploit the sh** out if it. I once ran into a modder who just froze everybody, the only way you could move is by jumping and you would only move like 10cm ahead. Also how do new players know not to pick up modded money? Someone who hasn't been following the game and just got it goes online and sees a player dropping money. Like if I would be in this new players shoes and I would see someone dropping money I would pick up it as much as I can, because it will come in handy at some point and seeing others in cool supercars would make picking up this money even more tempting. WTF R*.

 

I probably wouldn't be too mad if I got banned, because I only play GTA5 for a few days when an update rolls out so if I would be banned I would just mod the sh** out of SP and wouldn't give a damn about Online. Feels like R* is shooting themselves in the foot here in some way.

 

I know some would argue that by picking up modded money R* loses shark card sales, but honestly how many of those who pick up this money would buy a shark card if they couldn't get free money? I know I wouldn't. I have never bought a shark card and never will, because I don't spend money on in-game currency that I can acquire by playing. Sure it would be a grind to get money, but that's what R* should be worried about, because I would quit. To me the game is boring at the moment, there is nothing interesting for me to do so if I would have to start grinding money again I just wouldn't do it. I grinded RR, TLC and other jobs back on 360 and it was a pain in the bum. So R* would add new cool stuff and I come to check it out only to see that it costs a kidney (yachts) and remember that Oh I'm broke, oh well, I guess I'll go back to Fallout 4 or CSGO. Nevermind.

Last gen PS3/Xbox360 support be dead. Only one that gets anti-modder support is PC. PS4 and Xbone aren't jailbroken yet so those are safe at the time.

 

PC is and always will be a modder fest, should have known that before you got it on pc, so will last gen be slaughterhouse from here on out.

 

Meanwhile tranfered accounts are full of win.

Not when Rockstar starts banning those modded transfered accounts, I can't wait cause any f*cker that hacks and transfers deserves to be console banned.

I get that it's cheating, but the whole game is about murder, robbing, mugging, etc etc with rewards to those who play the meanest and dirtiest. Yet along comes a method to make millions quickly. . . The ultimate heist and yet instead, players are supposed to suddenly have rigid morals and report modded to rockstar, turn their noses up at 50 million free dollars and instead go back to honest grinding of stealing and murdering at 20k a time.

 

I get that it's in rockstars interests to ban them and recover the ill gotten gains. But il never get why so many here take such a high moral stance.

 

Teach a bunch of kids that there's rewards on offer but they have to take risks to get it. Grabbing 50 million dollars that falls from the sky is a huge reward and getting banned from your favourite game is a huge risk, but so many seem to have got away with it for so long it's a risk worth taking for many

 

Maybe gta 6 should introduce regular employment for the moral high ground police. They can earn 20 dollars an hour working in car washes cleaning the t20s and osris's of everyone else

recently (since 1.31) i've had script kiddies attempt to drop money on me twice. Both times, the animation of money bags dropping on my head appeared, but neither my bank balance, nor wallet contents rose. I quickly hit find new session as soon as it started. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, but it seems that maybe there is more to picking up money these days than there used to be, as this happened in the past and my bank account rose no matter how quick i changed sessions.

Well, I did receive money in the past (As of before being banned I had around 50 millions, around a third of them being "modded") but I only got banned around five minutes later after picking up those money. Now, If they removed all my money, I'm seriously going to kill someone.
