R* shouldn't waste their time. If people wanted to play on PC it was their own mistake, they should spend time working on DLC instead for us smart Xbox and PS players

If I am not working towards PvP in free-mode sessions, I only stick to Invite Only Sessions for anything relating to PvE stuff or hanging out with the crew. Free-mode is already dead on arrival.

 

Rockstar are too willfully stupid and ignorant to see the latter. They don't care. Never will.

Ban wave every now-and-then is cool and all. But I hate the fact they give cheaters' a not just one chance. F-ing two chances! to redeem themselves. It's just ridiculous.

 

Just hoping that they use something similar to the VAC instead of the garbage they call 'something, something anti-cheat'.

Banwave doesn't mean all of them are banned...Modder just tried to crash me with clowns clones and trains in my yacht...i switched session as soon as i could but now my yacht is messed up..until i restart my game.

Not going to happen, also look at this from a marketing perspective.

 

You get 6 year olds to buy the game again after they get banned, you wait 2 weeks and give them some ''fun''.

Ban them again so they buy ur game again, this way you can milk a 6 year old cow atleast 2 to 4 times before they notice that it's just a waste of money.

 

If you ban them every 48 hours, it's not worth getting the game again to mod.

The PC version is so riddled with modders that it's ridiculous, but it was never really a surprise considering the nature of the platform. I feel like R* shutting down alternate multiplayer clients for GTA V like FiveM just increases the amount of modders in GTA Online and reduces shark card sales since people can just go into a server and have some random dude spawn money on them. Well I guess letting these clients exist would also just reduce the amount of players on GTA Online, but regardless I'm so sick of grinding in GTA Online that it makes me sad that we can't have the modding community get the best out of the game. I'm not saying modders should freely be able to basically cheat in GTA Online, but I really wish they'd somehow let modders have fun Online with the game just without letting them ruin the game for those who don't use mods.

Honestly, the only way you can play this game competitively and cheat free is on the PS4/One. It's not a stab at PC, it's just the way it is. Just give up, you will never win.

Either the XBox One or PS4 will be cracked, or the new MP Client will slip through the legal loopholes and prove that Online modding is pointless. Either way, the result will be out of R*'s hands.

 

I am a gamer, not a PC master-racer (I hate the entire scheme of hatred for other platforms), but everyone knows the consoles will be cracked one day, no matter what safeguards are taken. There is a sad inevitability to it all.

The entire reason that old gen modders can get away with bans is because bans on consoles are hooked to either i) your account or ii) your console ID, both of which can be changed (the latter with some know-how), but not the actual game itself.

 

In PC your game key is tied to your account. There's not really any real escape aside from buying an extra copy and making a new account.

By seeing the nature of the mods people use on GTAO sessions, you can understand those alternate multiplayer servers wouldn't solve a thing, because that would solve for a person who would like to have stuff like skins, custom characters, modded cars, etc. That's not what these people do on PC, mostly use mods just to screw up the others. Like placing windmills on the garage doors, spawning the most random objects on the other players or exploding them, how they benefit from this? They don't, just people who enjoy to piss off everybody.

 

Unofficial servers would appeal not these people, only to once again annoy the others, and I bet if Take$ haven't made the devs desist of it, they would make measures to avoid people of using in there the mods we all complain on PC sessions, because those are undesirable mods.

PC is and always will be a modder fest, should have known that before you got it on pc, so will last gen be slaughterhouse from here on out.

 

 

Why do I keep seeing posts like this? There are plenty of games on PC that have great anti-cheat systems and you can play them without almost ever running into a modder/cheater. Rockstar's current anti-cheat system is half-assed and they should have foreseen this before they even brought this game to PC and have prepared for it. And oh god, imagine what will happen when modders/cheaters find their way onto PS4 and XBone, it's gonna be a mess.

Its true, in the end only rockstar to blame for the poor security. They should count themselves very lucky that Sony and Microsoft built decent security into the console because ALL of rockstars money is comming directly from that. They are not capable of building even a semi working online game alone.

They were no even remotely prepared to deal with the cheaters, and nearly three years later have somehow become even more clueless and stupidly went and made it so it is now next to impossible to report the cheaters (banhammer email is gone, and they now have the support ticket system set to close/delete any and all cheater report support tickets) which has allowed the cheating to get completely out of control.

They should improve their anticheat.Just look at ubisoft's rainbow six siege, they just got so strict with latest patch.

 

Come on rockstar I will not install your game on my PC again until you improve your anti cheat.

I do have a sense of humor and have meet decent modders who just want to have fun.The problem is the vast majority are a bunch of script kiddies,calling them modders is an insult to real modders,they don't have the brains to be modders,who use cheats to obtain ridiculous K/Ds , I assume so they can say look at me aren't i special ,pretty pathetic
