Lennart - made a video showing our beloved AP conversion:

 

 

A couple of comments on this:

 

after picking the purchase icon up, you don't have to wait for the side mission timer to run out like the "Vigilante" timer for the course menu in LCS. You can just tap R3/Up twice at your leisure. Having said that, the setup works with Empire missions, and even races too.

 

Also, you can pick the padlock icon up while holding X down, and this gives you the chance to sprint to the mission marker instead of walking/jumping without touching the setup. Still though, it doesn't help you skip the cutscene, but it's something.

I forgot about the cancle side mission option lol. Also, I had to wait to start pressing X until the Mission cutscene was over because on all the other attempts, the game bought the quad between the Diaz and the Lance & Vic walking cutscene cancling the setup completely.

 

So we got a deal Q? This cutscene audio plays in every real cutscene for me. Moral: Dont get a compressed cso. Also, I cant find another version that works lol.

I had to wait to start pressing X until the Mission cutscene was over because on all the other attempts, the game bought the quad between the Diaz and the Lance & Vic walking cutscene cancling the setup completely.

 

Not sure what doesn't work for you. After exiting the Police vehicle, I start holding X down, pick the icon up while still holding X, cancel "Vigilante" without letting go of X, and this allows me to sprint all the way to the mansion. Before stepping into the marker, I release X, but still can't skip the cutscene. When the mission starts properly, I start holding X down a second time, hop on the PCJ-600 that spawns across the mansion, and proceed with the conversion. Works for me every time.

How can we help you here? I tried buying a vehicle during various parts of the mission, but nothing worked. The farthest I could get was take control of the Stinger for a few seconds before the railshooting starts, but you always end up as a passenger afterwards, and the closest body of water is too far away to reach. If you purchase a vehicle during the railshooting, you get teleported to the icon with the Stinger, but you cannot do anything, BECAUSE THE BACKSTABBING PRICK IS STILL DRIVING, and somehow finds his way back on course. If you release X in the final cutscene, you're stuck.

 

This car can go to hell. It's not possible to jack it and teleport away to store it in the garage or ditch it in the water before the railshooting, because you need the icon to gain movement in the first place. If we could dupe more than one icon and buy vehicles back to back during missions (because it works in free roam), maybe something could work out on PS2.

More like exit the Stinger. And as mentioned before, attempting to never enter it in the first place by getting inside another vehicle before the railshooting is useless; the mission usually proceeds normally. Same goes for the Armadillo in "Farewell To Arms", with or without OM0. In the glitch-friendly LCS, it works with everything; "9mm Mayhem", "Scooter Shooter", "AWOL Angel", "Caught in the Act", and probably "The Sicilian Gambit" too, but I haven't tested. In VCS, we are not so lucky :(

If you're concerned about the credit:

 

I tried to obtain the mighty Barracks OL. No luck. Apparently, you can't activate "Vigilante" with it, unlike in San Andreas, and its brother, Vice City. But there's no need to use it in the mission, since "Vigilante" seems to freeze the game. "Taxi Driver" works, and it helped me obtain it in just Heavy/FP/PP form (new useless finding?).

 

However, I didn't explain the method until much later:

 

H/FP/PP Barracks OL: I think I haven't explained this one before, since it's not as important. Anyway; start "From Zero to Hero" with a Rampage. I recommend letting the timer run out before driving the Sentinel XS to the marker, to freely be able to use your weapons during the shootout, because Lance is an idiot. Now, here is where the tricky part comes in. When you jack the Barracks OL (Holy Diver starts to play), since Taxis seem to behave differently regarding keeping them in memory (more investigation needed on the matter), you have to be lucky enough to find one before starting the chase on the bridge (where Lance's Barracks OL becomes Heavy/AP), ditch your Barracks OL, whilst being careful not to lose Lance, and start "Taxi Driver". If you're lucky*, the mission will "break", in which case you have to drive after Lance a bit, and THEN cancel "Taxi Driver", because otherwise, the game tends to crash for some reason. Now, the weird thing is that Lance does NOT immediately exit the H/FP/PP Barracks OL, but the passenger does. If you punch the truck, Lance will get out to attack you, BUT he will CLOSE the door upon doing so, which means you have to push this monster all the way to the nearest garage, as the doors are locked, something I don't recommend. If you shoot it with a gun, the result will be the same. Obviously, since the Barracks OL is FP, a Flamethrower will have no effect. What you need to do is get someone ELSE to shoot at the truck, and if done right, Lance will exit the Barracks OL while leaving the door open, and THEN you can jack it and drive to the garage. The easiest way to do this is by attacking the passenger (who wields an Uzi), and using Lance's truck as a "shield" of some sort, since he shoots back. Hostile gang members can work too, should you "break" the mission near an unconquered Empire Building.

 

*I only have tested it on emulator, and while it usually works, it sometimes crashes.

 

Also, if the game does not crash and the H/PP/TP/EC Sentinel XS and Bobcat are nearby, you can jack them too, even more easily than the Barracks OL.

 

Also, HOW THE FAK DID YOU LEAVE A TAXI IN MEMORY?! I can't make it work, because Taxis and Cabbies always vanish, unless they're marked. Now that I think of it, the one you jacked might have been too... or you can make it work consistently?!

 

What's worse, regarding marked vehicles, VCS works in a kinda opposite way than LCS; when I store a marked Taxi in a garage in VCS, it becomes unmarked, whereas if I store vehicles inside LCS garages, they become marked! :blink: And I'm not aware of any consistent method to mark the damn things in VCS, so the H/FP/PP Barracks OL is mostly pure luck for me. Not to mention that "Taxi Driver" sometimes crashes.

 

As a side note, teleporting inside vehicles when both doors are blocked off appears to have nothing to do with marking them in VCS; this teleportation feature works with everything and on all platforms.

I jacked the taxi and parked it. This worked 3/3 tries.

 

Stinger: Most likely unobtainable. I had the idea of teleporting it in the last cutscene. Iirc, fires get extinguished when you buy a vehicle so this might be something.

You discovered tripling in LCS. Do it in VCS :pp Bender. says that if we dupe the mission and get OM0 again, Stinger is obtainable (apparently he managed to exit the car during the railshooting with the OM state set to 0, but I just can't do it).

 

If you buy a vehicle in the last cutscene, you either get stuck with a walking animation and can't get proper control of Glitchtor, or just stuck; you remain invisible/nonexistent(?) in one place, can look around, the Cholos shoot at your direction, but the bullets hit the floor, and nothing happens to your Health - the game is softlocked.

i found a new way for stinger.... its VERY VERY NEW no one tested it yet... i try it and if it work than bang its gonna be mine

I saw the AP Conversion for Helicopters last night and was wondering how you sprint/drive Vehicles AFTER the cutscene for Steal the Deal since usually X (Sprint/Accelerate) is the button to buy the Vehicle? You can't press X (unless holding it down before going into the Pad Lock), but you can press X AFTER the cutscene? How doesn't it just buy the Vehicle then and there? Either way, looks incredibly easy...

 

Now watching the H/FP/PP Barracks OL Video, too.

 

I also made a change of plans regarding VCS. If I do any of these OM0 things, it'll have to be an EIGHTH (8th) Save, not the 7th. I just want 113 Attempts (lowest) once and for all, so in my 7th Save, I would be going for both EC2 Sentinel XS's, maybe BOTH or at least one of the FP Boats from Robbery (Squalo or Speeder), H/EC Black Coach, Barracks OL (Unique Variation), FP/PP Ambulance (if it doesn't add Attempts, I know Firefighter adds Attempts in my game despite Level 15 is passed, while Vigilante does NOT add Attempts, so I have to check to see about Paramedics), and then some random EC Black Vehicles to also burn some space like EC Black Streetfighter, Banshee, etc, etc. Mainly doing that Save as I said for 113 Attempts so I have a Save that is the lowest, like I have in LCS already with 113.

 

However, what takes priority at this time is finishing my 2nd SA Save which I am already 39.57% done with just in 2 days (today is the 3rd day and I may make it to The Desert already), and then going back to TLaD and REDOING my 1st Save, doing a 2nd Save, then back to TBoGT and using the Mission Replays to get all remaining Special Vehicles from the Story on an already 100% Save and just saving in a different Slot and gathering up these Special Vehicles I still need, and then a 3rd Save doing the same thing, it'll be 100% already, and just save in a different Slot and gather up some Drug War Vehicles and such. Then I need to finish my IV Starter Save to 11.95% which it's 9.45% right now, missing 126 Pigeons from Algonquin and Alderney with a 6 Star Wanted Level, and then a 2nd Save File to 100% with a new set of 10 Special Vehicles and convert them to AP. Once this SA Project, and TLaD, TBoGT, and IV Projects are finished with, THEN it's time for a 3rd VC Save, 10th LCS Save, and the 7th VCS Save. If there is still any steam left and gas in the tank when I finish all of this, I will look into an 8th VCS Save and do these AP Helicopters, H/FP/PP Barracks OL, and hopefully by then, maybe more will be found and can add to that 8th Save. I am in no rush for AP Helicopters since I already have an AP/EC Maverick and AP or not, Helicopters aren't very fun to fly around in this game and can still be annihilated by the FBI and Army on 5/6 Stars...

Mind sharing the idea? Because there is a very similar mission, namely "Farewell To Arms", which has the FP/EP/DP Mule. It would be neat if we could get out of the helicopter.

 

Just saying, killing Lance, duped Vic or the Cholos before starting the railshooting doesn't work either. The mission either proceeds normally, or the game is softlocked.

I FOUND a way to enter other vehicle on cutscene right when you ENTER the marker... so that way game should keep player in a vehicle (ITS GONNA BE PCJ-600) and not teleport to stinger resembling the LCS Faggio and freeway method... I CAN TEST THIS RIGHT NOW IF SOMEONE GIVE ME SAVE FOR PSP VCS BEFORE JIVE DRIVE

You found a way, or thought of a way? Because these are two different things. If you mean parking your bike right next to the marker like in Vice City, it doesn't work. I saved you the trouble by testing it just now with a VCPD Wintergreen, and the mission doesn't start if you step into the marker during the entering animation. It works in Vice City (although you don't remain inside your vehicle instead of the Maverick in "Phnom Penh '86"), but not VCS.

it does work.... you need to have a OM0 on a "Playground in the downtown" drive with PCJ to airport drive with it into the marker wait until time will reach 2 second's get out... mission will fail and you gain movement on vic then you are able to get onto the bike... and in theory you shouldnt be teleported to stinger like to speeder in lcs with ap maverick when you in other vehicle just give me a save and i will test it

I tested both "Jive Drive" and "Farewell To Arms". You can hop on the PCJ-600 the moment you step into the marker indeed, but it's no use; the missions proceed like normal - you don't remain on the bike.

 

Also, there is a possibility the FP/EP/DP Mule's position is completely frozen, just like the AP Pony and TOYZ in LCS. Obviously, I can't confirm this one because I haven't even gotten close to the vehicle to date, and can't read scripts well enough.

Start JD with OM0 then die inside Stinger, you'll get outside of Stinger (It will be destroyed unfortunately) But mission won't fail and you respawn near hospital, Few markers will be still there and Buses etc. (They seem to have forced Color spawn, perhaps UC? I can't tell)

Then if you would start mission AGAIN, then set OM0 and die, the secound stinger would be stuck near the Airport waiting for you to be picked up.

Oh damn. I did that too, but never noticed I was still on mission. That said, after respawning outside the Hospital, I bought my weapons back, and all of them had over 9999 ammo! The crosshair was moving crazily fast too, like it does during "Jive Drive", but with all weapons, not just SMG. Sadly, both effects went away after saving and reloading :(

 

I think I now recorded every requested video. Please point iit out when I am wrong.

 

Although not as important, I think the TD Sentinel is missing. Oh, and since you like LCS so much, there is the H/EP/PP Securicar :p

 

You did nothing wrong in the video, but I have a couple of comments to add. If you're fast enough, you can ignore the first checkpoint and head straight to the Police station. Also, after jacking the Maverick, you can leave it on the spot, take the Infernus (the properties are there, including TD), store it in the garage, and if you go back, the helicopter will still be there. If you have OCD about the stats, you can obtain both vehicles with one failure this way.

I did obtain both vehicles in one go on my save.

About lcs, vcs recording is fun. I will record lcs and upload my vcs guide.

I actually recorded the TD Sentinel.

Streetfighter from From Zero to Hero is NOT EC... Just watch some other Videos of the same Mission and you'll see the Vehicles from FZtH have randomly generated Traffic Colors.

VCS is kinda weird when it comes to colours. Paintjobs seem to work like a chain in this game. You encounter one colour, take the vehicle to the Pay 'n' Spray, respray it 69 times, and still can't replicate the paintjob. I encountered a red and cream Ventoso in "Conduct Unbecoming" and thought it was EC, as I couldn't get the colour again, no matter how many times I resprayed it, but it wasn't. Indeed, I saw an identical Ventoso in traffic a few weeks later. I wonder what carcols.dat looks like in this game, but a mobile release seems highly unlikely at this point.

Excuse me, wasn't it you who doesn't like inferior vehicles thus not having the TD Flatbed and other stuff in the guide? Why would there be a need for a FP Sentinel if there are two AP/UC/UC2 Sentinel XS, one FP/UC Sentinel XS and a H/TP/PP/UC Sentinel XS?

Only because it is not a XS (thus worse i.m.o.), it shouldn't be considered worthy for the guide at all :lol: .

Lennart, I appreciate the Videos.

Because Sentinel and Sentinel XS are DIFFERENT Vehicles...... They're as different like a Vortex and BMX in SA, DIFFERENT Vehicles. FP Sentinel is not inferior as there is no Sentinel which is FP and has other Properties on it. FP/EC White Sentinel XS is not a better Version of the FP Sentinel as they're completely different Vehicles.

That's exactly like saying "Why did you obtain the BP Forklift in SA, there is a better AP Infernus in it. Infernus is faster than the Forklift."

XS is not a Property... It's just an added part of the Name... Different Name, different Model, different Vehicle.

Exactly. And that is why for the Guide sake, not for my own Saves and obtaining sake, the PP/TP/TD Sentinel XS should be added as there is no other TD Sentinel XS, so it's different. However, like I said, I don't give a sh*t about any TD Sentinel or PP/TP/TD Sentinel XS. These are on the lines of invisible EC2's in SA which I will never obtain. TD, without other Properties is identical to me as invisible EC2's. As for the PP/TP/TD Sentinel XS, I have an AP/EC Black Sentinel XS and a H/PP/TP/EC Sky Blue Sentinel XS. I don't need to get any TD Sentinel XS...

 

And yeah, FP Sentinel...Different Vehicle. The only Proofed NORMAL Sentinel in the entire game and can be FP/EC Black like I did in the 5th Save. Common sense, really...
