sutalu
I have seen a video from DigitalFoundry where "PAL" (European) and "NTSC" (American) versions are compared... and they say (and I see) that it's better the NTSC version (smoothly).... But, I've bought the European and American version.... and they are almost identical. Even worse, the errors are the same Stuttering videos (well, I have forced it a bit, turning quickly... but the error is in both versions): (NTSC) (PAL) And these "vertical broken lines" (I don't know how to name this error). Put the video on 720p to see it better. (NTSC) (PAL) Which version do you have? Do you also have the "stuttering" problems? Yozora
ComputerBlue
I watched your videos yesterday before coming here after noticing the stuttering on PS4, NTSC version. It's very minimal and hard to notice, but it's still there and I don't remember it being present on the PS2, but I could be wrong. I don't notice any vertical lines though. Overall I say it's a decent port but they should have just ported over the mobile versions since the music is removed from the ps2 port as well. sutalu
sutalu You have the PS4 connected to a Flat Screen TV with HDMI cable? I have the PS4 connected to a flat monitor (16:10 not 16:9) with HDMI cable. But I think that it doesn't matter because the recorded video is from "inside" the console (in fact, the video is recorded with 16:9 format, not 16:10). Moreover, the vertical lines are visible in this video (and others), at the 17 second. See the palm trees. They are (the vertical lines) in both versions. Perhaps If I play the game in a TV, the image postprocessing (from TV) minimizes both errors, especially the stutturing (with the "MotionFlow" technology -or similar-). I have both NTSCand PAL versions of SA on my PS4, I got the former after hearing it was better. Not much difference but it runs a bit smoother with less pop-ups. Graphically they are the same. Lethal Vaccine
I like the Mobile Version for something different, but nothing will ever feel like the PS2 V1 Copy I own. They don't even make it anymore and only V2, V3, Greatest Hits, etc, etc. There is a lot of neat things only to be found in V1, some pretty bad, but some pretty cool. Overall, I adapted to PS2 V1 the most and never would think any other Version is better, tbh. If and when I ever get a PS4 (Probably not until the next new, big GTA comes out), I will probably get III, VC, and SA just because, but I already own all these on PS2 and can play them in my BC PS3 with Physical PS2 Discs and I also have a Physical PS2 Slim, so there isn't really a point to getting them, in my case. So I am in no rush to get a PS4 or any of these PS4 Ports quite yet. Official General
Yozora
PS4 runs perfect for me. I feel like I whipped my PS2 out! Imo though think the ps4 version runs more efficient.
Inadequate
That's by the hardware differences and probably the PS2 emulator on the PS4 is very well optimized.
