gooeyhole
We're in 2016, how will this decade be looked upon years down the line? What era is this? 9i OTD
I'm not trying to sound edgy or anything, but it will probably be remembered for having really sh*tty mainstream music. ?!=+_-
Flachbau
It seems to be another major technology decade. I'm sure the tech that's being revealed every day within this decade will make an impact on how we grow in the future as well. Music was really sh*t towards the first year or two in the 2010s, but now it's definitely better. In terms of world news, ISIS will be remembered for a long time. gooeyhole
sh*tty music, technology, and booty. Hmm. RedDagger
quality sh*tposts like mr webby's here, for one thing. Β Also, to all the people saying bad music, that's not something unique to this decade, and this decade hasn't had an abundance of it over other decades. There's always been bad music. Β Anyway, I'd go with technology. The 2000's saw the start of portable consumer computers, but this is the first decade where we're in the full swing of smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches, plus wearable tech is becoming a thing, not to mention all the other things coming to fruition like VR. GTA_stu
It's hard to mark it out and define it when we're in the middle of it, even the 00's are still quite hard to do that to. Gay marriage probably will be remembered in years to come, and general "social change" like more acceptance of trannies, and (probably (unfortunately)) the first female U.S. president. The resurgence of an emboldened Russia, increase in Islamic extremism, Europe nice personing itself. In terms of music, I think it's actually been fine. Fashion feels harder to pinpoint, the 1900 decades fashion seemed much more defined and clearer, but this decade and the previous decade it's quite hard to say what the definitive fashion and style has been. Β There's still 4 years to come yet, so lots could still happen that would drastically affect how we remember this decade. gooeyhole

GTA_stu
m8 you just said 'nice person' unironically. you are in no position to mock any viewpoint tbh. Β What you got against nice person? nice person is a great word. It's the word of 2015. Β You're just salty 'cos it's a derogatory term for what you believe in. You'd love nothing more than to have the mightiest of mighty nice people happen, aka borders and nations fall followed by an inrush of cultural enrichment right into Europe's gaping vaginal opening.
