I know many months ago one of the main coders was invited over to SCS so I was assuming then that they would officially take them on. But now visiting the mod many months later it appears that they've just integrated the mp side a bit with SCS and are just working much more closely together.so yes I believe it's still a third party mod. I did a couple of drops on ATS last night and I was very impressed at least with the fact the oculus now works much more smoother with it. But man some of the unloading bays are a real challenge now. I doubt it'll do anything other than delay the trolls. After all, if they don't want to play singleplayer for 2 hours they can just launch the game and alt tab out. As long as the game is running the play time will go up, regardless of whether you're playing it or not. dewtech Posted February 4, 2016 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Thats why I won't play the Multiplayer, it was hell on ETS and thanks to the toxic nature of PC Gaming it'll be exactly the same on this. Had my first "Hard" delivery point today and it actually was one of the simplest I've done, at the mining company. You can't understand how bad it is when Steam sales comes by and a lot of idiots buy ETS2 and come in the servers/forums causing mess everywhere. And ATSMP is under testing. The problem with AI traffic is, it has to be linked to all clients on server and cannot be generated client side only. The sheer data flow of co-ords for every AI car would crash the server, before adding another 2k users to it. Imagine you drive down the autobahn, then overtake another car in a standard passing move. However you crash because another truck was passing you and you pulled out on them. They never saw the car you did as their traffic is randomly generated on their client. SCS want MP officially and that will mean AI traffic, but it could take a while to get the server data flow correct. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
