DOUGL4S1
I wonder if they will add Corsega and Sardigna as parts of the French/Italian DLCs.
DerangedCrackhead
How's the overall quality of the map? One of the reasons why ETS2 didn't hook me like ATS does is because I didn't feel like the old maps captured well enough the traits of each country and landscape, getting a bit generic and dull after a while -I can't speak for France expansion as I haven't tried it-, but after the quality boost in the New Mexico DLC my hopes were a bit higher with this one; does it actually capture the vibe of Italy? Uncle Sikee Atric
Have a look for yourself.... The atmosphere in this DLC is really nice and captures Italy quite well, France was decent but they've really got things on the up this time. PS : Promods and Rusmap are already updated for 1.30. The Promods Italy was quite outdated and to solve the issues, the vast majority was removed (leaving only Trieste) so there are no overwrite issues and the new DLC is not required to run the map update. The N. Bellic Man
ETS2 is one of the most addictive games I have played. Some might say it's a boring game, but I think that driving through Europe listening to local classic rock stations is absolutely awesome and insanely fun. Even if the map could be even better and bigger at least many places look familiar enough to me. Cities could be better though, but then again this is a trucking game. Ability to listen those radio streams really makes this game's soundtrack more expansive and better than in any game. Sooner or later I have to try ATS. I can't wait. -Captain-
I have about zero interested in trucks, or cars for that matter, but somehow I just love doing deliveries and driving around in ATS for a couple hours every now and then. It's very addictive and relaxing.

It might someday, Like Payday 2 it took a looooong time to come to PS4 but it did eventually How does ATS respond to Wheel & Pedal? Smooth? Uncle Sikee Atric
A new blog post is hinting at fresh content, but not giving us anything else.... The photos suggest it is one DLC, but nothing more. However SCS did show a signpost gantry for I-5 in Oregon, so I'd assume this is where ATS is heading next. Tokasmoka
I bought ATS yesterday, didn't have a lot of time to play it but I tried a bit on a ps4 controller, seems alright. This is what I was hoping one of the GTA updates would be like lol. Maybe one day they'll expand all the way up north to Washington and B.C. lol. Seems like this and Cities: Skyline are the easy breezy soothing games I miss playing when I was a teen, instead of the aneurysim inducing multiplayer games that are out now. Uncle Sikee Atric
The latest blog post is here and it confirms what was suspected, Oregon is to be the next ATS expansion. Tokasmoka
What are some must have mods for ATS?
TheMcSame
The MP mod (TruckersMP) is pretty much all I use tbh, mainly because the MP mod doesn't really support other mods. Edited February 1, 2018 by TheMcSame
Tokasmoka
I suck at parking lol. Finally saved up for a truck but it didn't have any engine noise. Took out all the mods and looked online and the best help was just to exchange it. So I downloaded a cheat mod so I could afford a new truck and it works. One thing that keeps happening though is the parking brake comes on and I have to wait for more air pressure. Now I am not mechanically inclined here but is there a special way to brake to avoid this? I just been using the LT. This happened twice last night and it was kind of annoying. Otherwise this is such a calming soothing game to play after work. I wish one day they'll expand to BC, Canada. Y'all would love the scenery! OurJud
I know a console port has been casually mentioned by posters, but is there anything which suggest this may happen at some point?
marco6158
Nah, I doubt it will ever happen. They are busy enough with development on PC, working on a port for console while both games are in full development is just going to waste their time. TheMcSame
I wouldn't say it'd be a waste for them to do a console port, but with the amount of work that that still needs to be put into both games, I'd imagine they'd want the focus on actually sorting out the content side of things before making that jump to console. Otherwise this is such a calming soothing game to play after work. I wish one day they'll expand to BC, Canada. Y'all would love the scenery! The trick is : gentle control and momentum are key. Excessive braking and over control wastes air pressure. Slow down a little and be more gentle in your actions, then the system will not be as over-labored and will maintain pressure better. The same is to be said for city driving, ease off the throttle early if lights are red ahead of you and roll up to the lights gradually instead. If they change as you approach, it's easier to get back moving as well. You'll find you'll save time in San Fran and L.A. overall as you spent more time moving. (PS : You can turn off the air-brake sim in Gameplay settings, but it's realistic to have to cope with them.... Although there is a certain drop in San Fran that is a bitch with the air-brake sim, since it's it is such a narrow access and pivoting point to swing the trailer in. Even I struggle with the air-brake sim on that one!) I wouldn't say it'd be a waste for them to do a console port, but with the amount of work that that still needs to be put into both games, I'd imagine they'd want the focus on actually sorting out the content side of things before making that jump to console. Why do PC games take so long to complete? Hasn't this game been out for about 72 years now?? Unlike mainstream developers, SCS have been developing content and new material since the game first launched five and a bit years ago. The game will never be truly finished, it'll keep advancing for a while yet, plus modders keep adding their own content and material, partly because SCS employ the brightest modders in house and give them jobs! TheMcSame
It's not just that SCS are small either. At least in relation to ETS 2, the map is huge... Like... One of the biggest maps in gaming huge... Probably only beaten by the likes of Fuel, TES 2 and No Man's Sky. It quite easily dwarfs the likes of TDU2 and The Crew. DerangedCrackhead
To be fair I believe that these games live off the modding community in a considerable amount, which makes a release in consoles unlikely. Without downplaying SCS work and relationship towards their costumers, the content of the base game can result a bit limited, especially in the case of ATS, and without mods the game may turn soon repetitive without the addition of mods. Seems like lately they've been putting their things together and boosting more and more the quality and speed of their releases so who knows what may the future hold. Uncle Sikee Atric
The blog has come alive once again with new content. They hinted at new map work for ETS2 last week, while ATS is not only getting Oregon, but a new Special Transports DLC to match the ETS2 one.... There's a few pics as well, but they're using placeholders for now and a few in-jokes, read the Blog to discover what the references are : Edited February 22, 2018 by Uncle Sikee Atric
OurJud
It surprises me that the developers of this game haven't released a car driving sim. I know that's easy to say when it's not your money and resources at stake, but the graphics and physics in their truck simulator are far and away better than any other (driving, not racing) sim out there. I know there's car mods for the game, but something doesn't look/feel right when watching gameplay of these.
Uncle Sikee Atric
On with the Blog once more and SCS have confirmed the location of the next ETS2 expansion. Looks like we're going 'Beyond The Baltic Sea'. With a small section of Finland and Russia also in this expansion, it looks like this expansion encroaches on both Promods and Rusmap territory. One screenshot is here, the rest are on the Blog.
Tokasmoka
Mapped the controls for ps4 controller so I can do some one handed driving while I blaze. This game is so relaxing, I've now discovered 18% of the map and finally got a garage going. Is there anyway to put your company logo on the trucks? It would be sweet if you could see your other drivers on the map while they do deliveries, or even drive past them on the highway.
SouthLand
Looks like the next DLC after the Baltic will be the "Iberian" DLC. And if they don't i bet it's going to be the Balkans
