This is amazing, I will be sure to put in some thoughtful feedback when I have the time but it would be great if Rockstar would implement something like this officially.

Great post!

Nice work but I don't see this coming to console. Just another feather in the cap for pc players.

As long as there's no retarded microtransaction crate system, this isn't too bad actually.

Oh wait, your idea involves GTA$? Nice.

$7500 for a Zentorno paintjob? Bargain! Was expecting something like $90.000.000 considering most kids have'em.

I like the idea, similar to selling cars in MC:LA.

Literally no one wants a Zentorno now.

The T-20 completely killed and left it's rotting corpse in a sewage.

my console would have to download up to 50 custom liveries for up to 30 people. That's 1500 car wraps, even if they are just a connect the dots emblem style it seems like it would be too much.

don't think its feasible even if it is an awesome idea.

Amazing work bro! Would love to have this in GTA: Online, Rockstar used some ideas from the GTA Community in recent DLC's, so R* might be able to make your work true if many people vote for it.

Download what ? His idea is similar to the R* emblem editor.

The textures and everything will be added to the game.

Your console will only download JSON files just like how your console load the contact missions and online heists with JSON files.

The JSON file will have variables that choose which texture should be used + is it placed left or right ..etc

Basically your console will only download a text file that will decide which texture should be used and where to place it.

But up to 1500 json files...

that not a lot I take it?

How many json files do we get per session right now?

Considering the popularity of Gun skins in CS, I can bet R* has this in the works. It'll be a shark card gold mine at 100+k / wrap

What would really be awesome is if you got a cut of GTA$ for what your livery sells. Like the extra RP for getting your custom jobs liked. Say you have a car skin that goes viral, you could be a legit billionaire.

Considering the fact that the emblem editor is already on social club, I don't imagine it being to hard to implement such a feature. They would need to create a few new emblems though.

Love the Idea. A parody of something like Forza's would be cool. it will allow me to finally design liveries for my cars to look like racing cars or make them look like the LSPD. They can finally have a better purpose for these logos.

(These are IV's but they can also add GTA V's parody business brands.)an8mXZD.jpg

10/10 for idea and pictures, but knowing R* nothing like that will ever happen, in V anyway. In fact seen as its the 3rd year of GTA V, we might be getting less and less major stuff now.

Awesome graphics skills, OP. This alone convinced me to read your idea. :)

Well... I'd love such tool. However, I'd be worried if it turned out to be as cumbersome, clunky and unresponsive as the crew emblem editor.

If you wish to see this project on GTA, it is important vote for this project here : https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/questions/206838578-Skins-editor-project-in-GTAONLINE-FLOCKINGPROJECT

It's pretty much useless to do so, honestly. Developpers do not read Support, and Support agents are not from Rockstar. If you want real chances of the Devs seeing (and maybe considering) your project, you sould e-mail it to them: [email protected]
