dajiggaman69 Posted February 7, 2003 Share Posted February 7, 2003 tell me why vice city did'nt have a subway im sure they had trains in the 80s go play gta3 , dont tell me the cars didnt have better graphics ok so vice city is bigger but liberty wasnt full of empty spaces like that f*ckin beach, liberty was packed to the brim with no big wastes of space why couldnt u work for the mafia in vice city they didnt really even make gta3.5 it was more like gta3-2.5 look at the similarities = 8 ball=lance vance, so many cars were the same as gta3 , any more? rockstar were just lazy and knew that they could just bring out a short half-copy of a great grounbreakin game (gta3) im out like a thief in da night Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

One is the Gulf of Mexico and the other is the Atlantic ocean. These two bodies of water make it near impossible for Florida to have much of anything underground. A subway would crack in no time from all the pressure put upon it by the two bodies of water. This is why they actually don't have subways in Florida, and anything that goes below sea level is going to be tight like a bomb shelter. Little ventilation in a subway tunnel would cause all kinds of breathing and lung problems. This of course does not even begin to delve into the enviromental issues. This is just a general reason as to why Rockstar probably did not put a subway in the game. They don't exsist in Florida. Hope that answers your Question. limbfilter Posted February 7, 2003 Share Posted February 7, 2003 The getaway blows...I was all prepped up for it and it just dissapointed me...I don't know what you guys are talking about with wasted space....I love the airport because I can dirve as fast as the car can go with out having to worry about traffic. And jummping the dunes on the beach is pretty fun too...Are you considering it wasted space because there are no cars around or no buildings around? He could never really run...the tageting system was flawed, car physics were strange (although the collisions were perfect), And once you got shot once you moved slower and limped and you couldn't run away and taht causes you to get shot more and die. Heck i use both sides of the road equally, saves time and makes for speedier overtaking. There should be one half of the beach on one island and the other half on the other island. And the airport...uh, yeah it is a waste of space...but good for doing brown thunder though. All the cars in GTA3 were pretty much the same. e.g. Kuruma, taxi, police, all pretty much the same car. Yardie lobo and the stallion are pretty much the same. In vice, only the yankee and the mule are the same ( i think that's the ones) Neway, my head hurts kuz i thought too much so now i'm gonna stop. In Downtown there are several alleyways and parking lots that have nothing there. No cars, no frenzies, no bribes, people, there is nothing. Another example is in Copland. The place where the lock up garage is located. I'm sure most of you know that behind the wall to the left of the lockup (right if you are facing the street), there is a police car that spawns after you get the cop uniform. Behind that car is a sizeable area that has.... nothing. IMHO, this game was huge in scale but small in planning. All of that open area cold have been used to set more missions, cars, weapons, frenzies, anything that gave us a reason to go there. I am not saying the game should have something in every small corner of the map. I am willing to accept that maybe part of the reason for the dead space is that you can get trapped by the cops or gangs or whatever. There just seems to be a lot of it. Vice still rocks though. America used to do it and so did the Romans long before that. For info, there are about 80 countries that drive on the left. Anyway, the wasted space thing. If they had put in a smaller beach, they wouldn't have created more buildings. It would have just been a smaller map, so why do people get annoyed about the beach?
