Pisces is $5,016,202 with $1,983,798 worth of extras. They're both bargains lol

You're off on the Pisces' vehicles' values

 

Pisces: $7,000,000 - $5,633,798 (in free vehicles) = $1,366,202 "yacht price"

Aquarius: $8,000,000 - $5,272,596 (in free vehicles) = $2,727,4042 "yacht price"

 

Of course, the "free" boats/helicopter only spawn at the yacht and aren't available wherever Pegasus can deliver them

Most of the people around me who expressed their need to grind for a yacht before buying tend to grind for a Pisces. I have seen exactly one Orion since the update.

Not much, the benefits are having an anti-air missile within your yacht, a hot tub and a bar tender.

They all have the same interior, so yes. There's no point other than being able to play the "Piracy Prevention" VIP job; other than that it's a status symbol and a complete waste of money. You can't even use the vehicles you get with it as Pegasus vehicles. I love mine, but it just...sits there. Offices are a far better investment.

Eh...same sh*t, different location, honestly...while the offices/warehouses can net you some cash, which the yacht more or less can't, they're still pretty much a waste of money unless you've got plenty to burn. I personally like both simply for the extra spawn points/"safe" spots they provide and a little bit of variety in a game nearing 3 years old.

Pisces is also better for Piracy Prevention as the roof is not open and the fact that you can get access to the roof from the port side quick.

I waited till a few weeks ago to buy a yacht despite having had the money. I've been on it twice.. I also bought an office and two warehouses, from which I've made 15 million and days of fun.

I don't get the thing about the Pisces being better than the Aquarius, and I am (rightly or wrongly) ascribing it to hipsterism. It seems to boil down to:

 

i) there's one less level with front to back access - uh.. OK, I'll use the level that does have access, then.

 

ii) the Swift helicopter - big, ugly, ungainly. The SuperVolito isn't great but it isn't as bad as the Swift. It's small and nippy - and it definitely forces you to learn how to land properly! I tried and rejected the Swift when it came into GTAO, long before yachts.

 

I also like look of the top deck of the Aquarius far better than the Pisces.

 

If R* refunded $1m for downgrading (instead of [ridiculously] charging $1m), I still wouldn't do it. Maybe for $2m though.

If you like the Aquarius, go with the Aquarius. But it frustrated me immediately that I couldn't get on the roof from the bow, and that there's only 1 way through to the front. On Pisces there's 4 (inc the roof), and your Piracy Prevention room has a roof where the Aq doesn't. I bought Aq, then downgraded, and am totally happy.

 

But it's your yacht

 

At this point I'd recommend office before yacht, and in fact probably waiting for another half price yacht deal (where you can upgrade from the base model for the normal price...)

A couple months ago I was playing with some dude and we ended up flying over his yacht. To my surprise it was an Orion. Of course I asked him why did he owned the cheapest one. He told me he used to own either the Pisces or the Aquarius (can't remember well) but he downgraded to the Orion because he pretty much used it only for Piracy Prevention, and according to him the Orion is the hardest to play as the hoster (which actually makes some sense, since it sums the weak points for Piracy of both the other yachts) and he wanted a bigger challenge.

​- Easiest to land heli (unlike the SuperVolito which is like trying to land a styrofoam cup by throwing it on the ground)

​- Interior matches exterior (showing that the pisces was the original design and the Aquarius was a joke afterthought)

​- Lacks the ugly extra oval windows all over the hull that don't match up to the interior

​- Anyone still owning Aquarius looks like a noob who doesn't know any better at this point

Just buy the one you want. I wanted the most expensive. Plus my astrology sign is Aquarius anyways.

Addressing your points in turn:

• Aesthetically, I much prefer the Aquarius deck layout.
• I don't fly Hydras.
• I don't play Piracy Prevention.
• I'll challenge you to a race - my SuperVolito vs your Swift, my race (narrow gaps between cooling towers and stuff).
• Ok, your boat might 'win' should the situation ever arise.
• The SuperVolito's poor landing ability forces you to 'get good', which you do, and it's not an issue anymore.
• I'm a Doctor Who fan. I like interiors that don't match exteriors, and I always liked the oval window in Play School.

I don't agree, I'm not really a fan of all those sunshades around the yacht, doesn't look much realistic to me, but again that's all a personal opinion.
