@Snowej, thanks.. Im in bad sport now grinding away by myself and I want to buy it for 8 million but saw that its 10 million fully upgraded. so I want to settle for basic model when I get out of bad sport. Just one week left....

 

I would go with the Pisces 10 times out of 10, especially if you're strapped for cash. Ditch the gold rails (save $750,000), and depending on your lighting and colour you should be fine.

It's down to personnel taste, I like the sleeker look of Pieces better & for me their was no advantage in getting Aquarius. Pieces has a more accessible layout & the roof is also blocked off via a canopy which is good for Piracy missions & you can land more stuff on her Aquarius however gets two more jet-ski's & the cluttered roof has things you can hide behind. If boats are your thing they both are identical in number but Aquarius has the overpriced Toro but Pieces has the Speeder that's faster. You get different copters so if you care about them & already have a Swift get Aquarius but if you don't get the Pieces as it works out cheaper to buy the Supervoltaio separately.

Better strategic advantage points? The yachts are identical for the most part. The only differences are the Aquarius' top floor has no access to the bow, and canopy placements; one of which allows Pisces owners access to the roof from the back of the boat. To get onto the roof on an Aquarius, you need to run down to the second floor towards the bow, turn around and climb up onto the roof. Fall off and do it all again. Which is likely since there's a gaping hole in the middle of the roof.

 

On a Pisces, jump up and down, all around in literally seconds. Plus there's no hole in the roof, so if the enemy does get on the roof, they can't shoot you like fish in a barrel.

 

One way to storm onto a yacht is from the rear, via a boat. This area is the same on all yachts. Or they could land a helicopter on the free helipad located on the bow. Then the pirates could storm you from either the second floor (and third on the Pisces), or the roof (since they have access to the roof - you don't on an Aquarius). Or you could own a Pisces, jump onto the roof, and shoot down the helicopter before it even comes close to landing on your yacht.

 

I've defended my yacht against 5 pirates on my own, as they were trying to board from a nearby yacht. I could not imagine defending it on an Aquarius, since the roof access alone literally saved me. I have a complete 360 view of the waters around me, plus the sky.

 

I also snipe paupers on the beach from my yacht, again from the roof. It's my favourite past time.

@Snowej. hmmm. thank you, Ill have to go back and compare sniper stories, I cant say from my own on site observances what I think cause Im in bad sport right now with no access to one, Im about to buy it this weekend, Thanks for your input. This is so important to me making my choice which one has more fighting advantage,, more than looks or simple convenience. Im not much of a money earner, so I have to choose carefully. 60 million career but I blow most of it on ammo.

The ageing yacht debate...

 

I read all the posts on why the Pisces is supposedly better than the Aquarius, weighed it up, weighed it up some more and went for.... the Aquarius at 8 million.

 

WHY?

The Aquarius has the Lampadati Toro and the Supervolito - two vehicles that I didn't previously own and which will cost about 4 million to purchase separately from Dock Tease. To me that was a bargain and made the Aquarius better value than the Pisces.

 

And this big deal about not being able to run to the front of the yacht on one of the Aquarius' decks because the front cabin is slightly wider. So, use the other deck, like it's a big deal? Too much has been made of that.

 

The key factor is choosing the right yacht based on what extras you get. Being a 'collector', that's important to me.

If you want the swift the buy one from pegesus I have all 3 swifts i dont need another one on my yacht. I also have 2 carbons well 3 if you count the yacht one but thats besides the point. A yacht owner shouldn't buy a yacht on a budget. I'd say buy the Aquarius and if you want a swift then buy a damn swift and park it on the 2nd helipad case solved.. im so sick of this debate.

That's not an issue at all. If you can afford to buy a $7M yacht, in all likelihood you can afford the $8M one as well.

 

Its about wich one represents the best value for ease of access to all of the exterior, and which one has the better vehicles available. It's clearly the Pisces.

I had 32 mils and I bought the Pisces.

Why? Because I don't want to have that ugly SuperV on my helipad all the time and I don't want to call Pegasucks for a Swift

If you can afford it then obviously i want speaking to you plus I said i have a child to show no i am not a child i have a child, All I see mostly in freeroam is the Aquarius anyway so that show whats most popular.

 

I love the Aquarius and bought 1 for each character. On my female character I spent a total of 20 mill on hers getting the paint scheme to match with the lights tjats how much i like it and dont care about the upper deck being closed because my cabin area is bigger due to the sloped windows

 

Go to the yacht appreciation thread theres a ton of people you will find that saved up to buy the yacht and went broke so im sure its some who couldn't wait to stack the other mill up and settled for the picies i have friends that did that now they're saving the rest up

#2 has faster boats/helicopter

#2 has a passage way to reach the front of the boat which #3 has blocked off making it 2 dead ends.

#2 you can jump on the roof rather easy

 

the only disadvantage is the #3 has more boats (but they are slower). So again, why would i want #3?

I want 3 so We can drink champaign in the luxury helicopter it comes with plus the Toro is way sexier than the Speeder and there's more sea sharks.

The Pisces is not the best yacht, the Aquarius is.

 

Firstly, the new Super Velito helicopter allows players to traverse the air in luxury like the swift deluxe, for players riding in the back can indulge with champaign.

 

Secondly, I don't know why Ross aka Mr Boss FTW says you can't land Hydra on the helipads, me and my crew members have no problem landing Hydra on the helipads.

 

Thirdly, the fact players can only circle around the deck on the second floor and not be able to climb up on the roof as easily is a benefit to the owner and crew/organization. It allows less points of entry during the Yacht Defense VIP mission.

 

Additionally, there are more sea-sharks to use plus the Toro is a better looking craft than the Speeder.

 

Lastly, the Aquarius spawns weapon pick-ups inside the cabin. Do the Pisces and Orion also have that ability?
