What happened to the Space Ranger?

Amongst the leaked info about the Festive Surprise 2015, there was Republican Space Ranger Gear, specifically the Helmet and Body Armor. Oddly, this is already in game so it was assumed that it was gonna be a wearable version. The Festive Surprise came and went....and we still have no Idea why it was there in the first place, the only info we ever got was that we were gonna be able to wear a Black Turtleneck with it. So why was it even in there in the first place? Future DLC?

They added that outfit with the last update but it's unused. You can find it if you search through game files. Probably it's just cut content or it's another version used by certain NPCs.

This would make sense since adversaries are The Thing. No other reason, but we have had a load of them. Would actually like to see stats how many times each mission/type of mission/activity has been played in a month. There is so much adversary modes that it has to be much more popular than I would ever believe.

Perhaps it was supposed to be "Space Rangers vs. Beasts" or something instead of Slashers vs. Beasts, because really, that game mode doesn't make a lot of sense - why are they slashers when they have miniguns and railguns and so on?

Yeah, Space rangers with railguns would make sense.

That answers my question i was wondering 2 days ago when me and someone else here on the forums were doing the Bodyguard Vest glitch. We didn't know it was only 1 specific vest so I was going through all of the bodyguard outfits. Then I got to the Narco Polo part, Went through all of them and wondered, "Hey. What happened to the Black Soccer Hoodie? Hmm. Weird." Shame they changed it.
