AntmanHD
So I have a very good computer, run around 300-400fps in CS:GO and I've always been able to run any game max settings at 60fps. When I play GTA V though, my PC goes nuts. The lag usually begins when I am driving a car fast.I lowered all of my settings to the lowest possible, and the problem gets no better, it looks exactly the sameI opened my task manager today to see what my performance looked like. I was getting a normal CPU usage of 10-20% while not playing and a Memory usage of a straight 2.36GB. I launched GTA V and started driving to see my CPU usage shoot up to 95%-99% and my Memory to around 6.5-7GB. I have no idea why this happens, does anyone have a solution to this?PC Specs:GTX 970 SC (GPU)i5-4690k (Processor)750W (PSU)Asus Maximus VI Hero (Motherboard)8GB Ram (RAM)1TB (HDD) 128GB (SSD)
stretchx9
Your specs are good. GTA5 will tend to use up a lot of your resources. Follow up on these suggestions one at a time until you notice a difference. Uninstall the GeForce Experience. Uninstall Nvidia HDAudio. Close the Steam overlay. Close your browser. The next time you update your video driver, only install the driver.
Maryo_Nicle7
My suggestion: - Try to delete settings.xml which located in my documents/rockstar games/gta v - Sett Texture Quality to High - Makes sure your driver is up to date - Open Nvidia Control Panel, and sett the gtav.exe with some options: 1. Preferable maximum performance, 2. Triple Buffering ON - Make sure your GTA V version is up to date
