Should Deathmatches Have Area Limits?

I play a lot of deathmatches, yeah I like a bit of adrenaline pumped action from time to time :p However, one thing that I see a lot of players do is run off. Literally, like half way up the map. Or hide out somewhere. Its kind of annoying sometimes. Funny enough, high ranks do it more than low ranks! So, should Deathmatches have an area limit, similar to LTS's and have you guys experienced anything similar?

Yeah, would stop people running away once they get a lead too, I saw a crew doing that once. Really annoying.

Wow, you made me remember my first deathmatch in GTA IV. I was like "I can go anywhere I want!" running around like an idiot in the airport while the fight was happening on the other side of the map.

Don't remember having an issue with this in V but yeah, maybe they should have limits, specially for the one in the first place.

CarimboHanky

small deathmatch area is one of the reasons that keep me away from this mode.

if the match area were biggers like the airport in IV, and if they gave the option to turn off the flashing screens when you get a killing/losing streak i'd play more.

I hate people who do this, either hide, or just flat out run away from the fight. Or you'll have people, or a person on your own team who will sand bag the whole match and hide somewhere off of the map, while you and everyone else is left to pick up their slack. It's also the reason why I never turn traffic on, and try to avoid R* maps where there are parked cars by default.

No they should have bigger deathmatch areas that include uses of vehicles and sometimes police/gangs. Deathmatches in this game are boring and horrible in my opinion.

I agree,Deathmatch is serious business,you can't run away from serious business,that's wrong!

I'd rather they remove the ability to buy explosives from the interaction menu.

Did C* think this through? This bullsh*t is the reincarnation of One Man Army from MW2.

Oh and tints should be removed and rolling should be nerfed.

Even with traffic off they still try to get away.

Yes indeed. I'm annoyed by those people that go away in the mountains and camp there instead of playing like normal people do.

Happened to me yesterday.

Definitely, as long as there is the option to play deathmatches in large areas as well. Sometimes it's good to have a deathmatch that takes place over the whole city.

Well, coming from someone who loved DM and TDMs in GTAIV where the whole city was the playground I would have to go with a no, however if a DM or TDM is area locked then keep it that way! The current system is the worst of both worlds, why not add a freeeroam come deathmatch option, could be big fun for rival crews.

I only do deathmatches for my dailies. Most of the time I end up alone against 2-3 enemies with invisible bodyparts and BP helmets. Sometimes I let them kill me for 5 or 10 minutes straight, sometimes I run.

When I run, I always get messages shouting I'm a noob. I just feel sorry for those type of players, they have to wait until the match is over before they can trap another unsuspecting player to raise their precious kd ratios.

That's the DM freaks and the reason I never do DM. They eats newbies like you and me and love it. Same ppl as OP that wants to limit the area just to troll us

Edit:

Sorry OP, you didn't say you want is, you just ask the question.

Yes, it definitely should be a feature in DM, and I really can't understand is that not so, when creating a DM, you even have to set a area limit for the spawn points, and there are area limits for the LTS aswell.

One thing I always try to do especially with maps like the Vineyard and Mansion where there are parked cars by default. Shoot out the back tires on all of the cars if you can. This way when someone tries to flee they'll spin out, and give you enough time to pop em with a head shot. They'll either always run for the 9F or Gauntlet at the Vineyard, or the Stinger GT at the Mansion, which are all tail happy cars.
