Back in bad sport

Something doesn't ring true about OP's story. There's no way a couple of player reports will put you into Bad Sport. If it happened that way every crew would be doing it.

 

I've targeted 4-6 player crews hundreds, if not thousands, of times in free roam. I've been kicked out of a few lobbies. Never been in Bad Sport.

 

I'd say save your sympathies on this one. On OP's GIF you can see the message "there will be a short wait before you can message XXX again" - probably meaning he'd been spamming trash talk beforehand.

 

And I suspect there was other unmentioned stuff - maybe not in that particular session - personal vehicle destruction, etc.

 

 

The first message I got was "scrub". I replied "lol". While hovering above the construction site in his Hydra, he messaged something along the lines of "why u hiding". I replied "lol".

 

I had played previous sessions (before this one). There were the odd cars blown up, the odd moderate fights, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary, and basically just playing the game.

 

Hopefully that's enough information, but somehow I don't think anything would convince you. Some people just refuse to believe that Rockstar can get it wrong - that sometimes the report feature can be misused.

8 days is nothing ive spent 14months in total my last holiday was 4 months as soon as you get dodgy status you are 5 pv blow ups away from BS.

But curious, how would 800 know you were going to Bad Sport? You don't get there from just being reported?

 

You get there by blowing up a LOT of personal vehicles, killing players in Passive Mode (which is moot on next gen), and quitting missions/heists early.

 

Is it possible that you blew up a lot of player's cars and maybe weren't aware?

Of is it possible that this 800 person was some sort of modder with the ability to tag you with Bad Sport points, sending you away?

 

Just thinking, is all. Because after four stays in Bad Sport, I can tell you that I don't really care to go back.

It's a vacant lobby with the same turdgobblers every time you log on.

I'm not really sure how he knew. It was definitely by his actions though - I got the bad sport notification and the hat appeared on my head while I was in the construction site, just moments before I was kicked from the session.

 

He could've been a modder, though I think his rank would've been more outlandishly high if he was. I suppose he might have been looking at my stats the moment I got bad sport, but that would be a big coincidence.

Do the other players see any notice of you in the activity feed of being sentenced to bad sport? You get to stay in that lobby for the duration. When I was sentenced it was the moment I was made the beast, No one was around me but I got sent a few LOL messages, so I was wondering if they were spectating me or how they knew.

Simples, get enough spotty no talent wannabes in on session and the will team up, report you and them go jump in a circle jerk about it. Best bet it have your crew/friends commend you as soon as it happens as it counteracts the reports.

As for bad sport itself, it sucks the largest lobby I found was with 6 people, we actually buddied up and did some races, missions and what not while we were serving our time.

The majority of players ranked 400 and above are questionable players. The whole 420 rank is a giveaway, too.

 

But at 800 - yeah, there's definitely something up with that number. I've encountered 400-8000's and it's almost always the same.

 

Of course, not to say there aren't legitimate 400+ ranks out there, but they're rare. It's not easy to get to 300, let alone 400. woah!

I have a Lizard Green BMX in a car slot that is Insured and has BP tires (PS4).

 

I put someone in Bad Sport yesterday using it.. LOL! To be honest, I was attempting to actually put someone in BS and I accomplished my goal. Here is what I did...

 

I lobby hopped until I found a player with a Dodgy Status. Finally, after like 7 sessions or so of hopping, I found a Dodgy player. I immediately went into Passive, grabbed my BMX, and rode over to him.

 

I rolled around for a bit next to the guy and when he started paying attention to me, I got off the bike and flipped him off (I am in Passive, but since I am off the BMX, it is not)! He pulls out a Rocket Launcher and blows my BMX to pieces. He gets a $10 charge, a BS mark, and a DUNCE CAP! I wasn't expecting the Dunce Cap to appear on him so FRIKKIN soon!

 

I COULDNT BELIEVE IT! IT WORKED! I TROLLED SOMEONE INTO BAD SPORT, AND I DID IT ON ONE TRY!

 

I switched sessions right after so he couldn't message me in game. I was hoping I would receive a PSN message, but alas, I did not. Wonder how many days he got.

 

EDIT: I will do this again, but this time, I will make a video. I am new to PS4 and always forget how easy it is to record gameplay. Derp

I used to think wearing the dunce in a public lobby might confuse people into not reporting me. I'm pretty sure i was wrong as I've reached dodgy status far less after giving up the D.

@Femin. Thanks for the heads up. Getting closer to figuring out my final moments, I was in dodgy status for three days, off and on. I see it then I do missions till its clean, I see the dodgy again, rinse and repeat

 

Wondering why I was being followed right up to...., sent nasty messages and LOLs and being charged at with vehicles

 

Nice to forensically observe what others do as their mission in life, such as being Dodgy Player chaser. Im on xbox one so I don't have to worry bout you.

Lol! This was just an experiment for me. I was bored and it popped into my head. I probably won't go around doing this very much, well, because it's literally impossible to know what part of Dodgy Status they are... Could take 10 more vehicles destroyed for BS, could take 1... I got lucky with him only needing one more.

 

Not only that, people don't expect the BMX to be insured. Lol @ $10 insurance payment.

freeroam events!

they require people NOT be in passive if they want to participate, so lots of potential victims every 12mins when events are triggered.

that and the new vip/bodyguard features completely disables passive!
