Back in bad sport

8 days, it's my third time. Not the end of the world, and I can deal with not playing this for a week or so.

haha you still a bad sport noob haha, the system is stupid and shouldnt exist in this type of game.

 

i have been through badsport a whooping 9 times, so yeah it sucks we have a punitive system like this.

8 days was a breeze, I earned 3 million and bought the Customized Eclipse Apartment and two fully modded Armored Shafters when I got out.. I spend most of my money on Ammo and Pegasus vehicles solely for killing so Im not one to buy stuff others buy like masks, outfits and supercars.

 

So what will 16 days of forced missions bring me? Ill attempt 8 million and buy the yacht finaly, Don't know if Ill get bored with it, I might buy it and invite others over, try the hot tub trick by blowing everyone up in the hot tub when they least expect it. . Instant multiple kills, I cant wait.

 

Theres no way I could take more than 16 days, I might as well give it up then or play another account. I have friends who are begging me to log into their account to raise their K/D. 9 bad sports? I cant imagine,..

 

I met a 1 year bad sport and a 6 month , They were very unfriendly players, wanted nothing to do with me. BS is lonely, Im not going back. My forth time is it.

What did I finish? All I did was play the game; what's wrong with that? Should people really be afraid to even let themselves go and kill/get into little (supposedly good - spirited) fights in free mode? If we're not even allowed to do that, this game sucks.

 

Also, you call Rockstar's system atrocious, then say how it's not hard to avoid bad sport status? Uh, logic?

 

Once I'm out of bad sport I'm sure I'll get into plenty more "random virtual fights". Because they're, you know, fun. Oh I forgot, fun's not allowed. Some little flowers might get upset about the rough virtual playing.

It is hard to avoid bad sports, like they said earlier, that Dodgy status is very hard, deceptive to remove, I noticed I was dodgy after about 80 kills, so I did a lot of missions, a few hours worth, it went back to clean, I go to a session and kill four players who get butthurt, the four players report me and bam ! Im back in bad sport right when it had said CLEAN PLAYER minutes before and gifting me with 2,000 dollars for good behavior

 

The system doesn't work, listen to our complaints.

This whole bad sports system needs to be revised. Like if you blow up someone with a bounty on them, why would that give you a bad sport warning? The exact opposite would be much more appropriate.

 

It should be for those who are... well, bad sports. Not players just GTAing... Also, why would just reports be enough to be put in bad sports? OK, if someone first reviewed these reports but not automatically like it is now. Surely Rockstar must have realised that people will make false reports just to bully, and these are the ones who should be put in bad sport.

 

I don't dare to do anything these days and it sucks.

Were you actually put back in bad sports? It just looks like you were kicked out of the lobby. Happened to me a few times.

 

I was definitely put in. Before the moment in that gif, it told me how long I had remaining in bad sport. I checked my player status too, it's definitely there. I feel a bit like I've served my sentence, but committed no crime.Then you are the champion

Two people were ganging up on someone, so I came in for some fighting. I then had every cheesy tactic in the book thrown my way, hate mail/harrassing texts, and was falsely reported - how does any of it make me an a**hole? Why does being a free roamer = an a**hole anyway?

If someone hates fighting a crew... they can like....leave the session

Ive also been kicked out of several lobbies...by crews...probably been reported to, blew up probably personal vehicles in the thousands, being acused of being a modder often...still in good sport

It does work...probably a bit to harsh on some ex bad sport players but further....exelent job.

Friendly lobbies woud still be better though...but yea...not gonna happen

OK. How long did all this go on for? Since I find the longer you fight players the more likely they are to report/vote to kick you. Especially the text senders.

I didn't get kicked from the lobby, but when I changed session I was on my own. Been on my own ever since. Seems I'm the single solitary player in PC bad sport I'm in for a month this time.

badsport makes no sense regardless of the passive mode or console, it shouldnt exist in a game like this, it makes no sense.

 

as for the jets, well you must be lucky, whenever i play on ps3 i see jets everywhere, anyway im sure badsport is not the cause of that "reduction" on jet griefers, its very likely they have moved onto newgen, where the increase in the range of the jet cannon make things easier.

i once spend 45 days alone in badsport.

 

not sure if they do that by design or what, its weird i had no issues during my shorter sentences but the moment i hit my 1month sentence, i was alone and was like that for every subsequent sentence.

I've always been confused by what it is the anti-freemode war people do in a public freemode that they can't do in an invite only session? Is it that important to have other players in the lobby with you? You certainly don't want them to interact with you negatively, do you want them to wave and smile at you? Do you want to meet them for coffee and walk on the beach together? If you want to dick around and respray your car a hundred times without issue, do it in a private session, or go passive. Rockstar themselves have turned Freemode into a battle ground with the freemode events, even forcing you out of passive to partake. It's a real mixed message.

I'm kicked out of missions almost daily because people don't know how to change their settings so that randoms can't join. They're too afraid I'm going to steal all of their RP. Instead of being an adult or trying to make friends with a higher level player, I just get voted out as soon as the mission starts. I'm also voted out of public sessions much the same way the OP was...you simply get the better of a whiny little brat and suddenly he's telling other people that you're glitching or using god mode because he can't kill you. They see your high rank and simply jump on the bandwagon, never once questioning or caring that they've been left alone.

Personally, I've always like the idea of the bad sports just simply being spawned into the prison, making it a requirement that they "break out" if they'd like to be in a public lobby. Each death sends them back to prison. They'd still be allowed to roam free in their own personal, private session and they'd still be given the right to join contact missions and heists with the general population. Of course a system like that would be, you know...fun...

I was driving around in my armoured car (not the Kuruma, don't worry) and noticed two players having a fight with someone. Out of the duo, one of them was well over level 800, and so I thought I'd join in the fighting to even the odds for the lone player (well for fun actually, but that too).

 

The level 800 repeatedly went off radar, so I avoided conventional fighting and stuck in my car. I'd get far back out of auto aim range, and use my heavy revolver to snipe at him/her (while still in the car). This gave me protection from bullets, while I was also able to drive out of the way of homing missiles.

 

It worked, and it worked well. Admittedly, some of the shots I got were lucky, but it was enough to enrage the players anyway. 800 chased after me in a car, trying to throw a sticky bomb, but I managed to shoot him out of the car with my heavy revolver (one of the lucky shots I mentioned).

 

Not long after this, 800 went off radar and attacked with a tank. After getting killed once, I went off radar as well, and went to get my Savage. 800's buddy tried to stop me, but failed. Seeing what I was up to, 800 got out of the tank, pulled out a homing launcher, but got blasted. I then received this:

 

 

I texted back a quick "lol". 800 went off radar once more, so I retreated to the construction site (I knew 800 was probably after a jet, so needed to get somewhere safe).

 

Sure enough, the blip of a jet appeared nearby, hovering way up above the construction site. More hate texts were received, and replied with texts such as "lol". I got the notification that players were voting to kick me, and then got told how long I had remaining in bad sport. Presumably, I'd been reported (for something or the other/winning). Not long after that, this happened:

 

 

I got a message from "800" (ThunderFox619); it read:

 

"enjoy bad sport bitch".

 

To which I replied:

 

"haters gonna hate eh? lol".

 

The moral of the story is, bad sport is a very real thing. It exists, and when your enemies are bitter enough to report you, it will work. Always keep an eye on your player status, and if it goes to dodgy, you may as well stop playing for a while. Anyway, time to do something else for 8 days.

I've targeted 4-6 player crews hundreds, if not thousands, of times in free roam. I've been kicked out of a few lobbies. Never been in Bad Sport.

 

I'd say save your sympathies on this one. On OP's GIF you can see the message "there will be a short wait before you can message XXX again" - probably meaning he'd been spamming trash talk beforehand.

 

And I suspect there was other unmentioned stuff - maybe not in that particular session - personal vehicle destruction, etc.

Way I see it, Bad Sports is like Jail in the game.

You are separated from "society" for a while.

Makes sense when you remember that technically, in this game, we are all "criminals".

 

I've been in twice, 2 days, then 4. The first time was back in the days when it was simple - blow up a few player vehicles by accident and you're in. I was pissed.

 

The 2nd time was me, driving my chrome insurgent, leaving mines outside LSC and sticky bombing randoms whilst honking my clown horn, laughing my ass off over the mic. I deserved it, but it took 2 weeks before I got BS. I sold cars and did missions by myself to make money in the interim.

 

BS. It's in the game.

Go on a sticky bomb/player vehicle run whilst shouting "your mum is gay" on the mic for a fortnight in free mode. You'll have a holiday in BS in no time.

freeroam events!

 

they require people NOT be in passive if they want to participate, so lots of potential victims every 12mins when events are triggered.

 

that and the new vip/bodyguard features completely disables passive!

8 days is nothing ive spent 14months in total my last holiday was 4 months as soon as you get dodgy status you are 5 pv blow ups away from BS.

Races are a fun and good way to regain a clean status again

If playing Online since 2013 has tought me anything, it's that players in GTA Online can be extremely bitter about anything.

 

For example: I've been in many race playlists where I was comfortably at the top of the list, where a group of people were trying to take me out every race

to screw up my results. When that didn't work, they just kicked me out of the playlist at the last race.

 

I used to get very annoyed by them, now I just walk away and ignore. It's much better for your blood pressure ;-)
