Back in bad sport

I was driving around in my armoured car (not the Kuruma, don't worry) and noticed two players having a fight with someone. Out of the duo, one of them was well over level 800, and so I thought I'd join in the fighting to even the odds for the lone player (well for fun actually, but that too).

 

The level 800 repeatedly went off radar, so I avoided conventional fighting and stuck in my car. I'd get far back out of auto aim range, and use my heavy revolver to snipe at him/her (while still in the car). This gave me protection from bullets, while I was also able to drive out of the way of homing missiles.

 

It worked, and it worked well. Admittedly, some of the shots I got were lucky, but it was enough to enrage the players anyway. 800 chased after me in a car, trying to throw a sticky bomb, but I managed to shoot him out of the car with my heavy revolver (one of the lucky shots I mentioned).

 

Not long after this, 800 went off radar and attacked with a tank. After getting killed once, I went off radar as well, and went to get my Savage. 800's buddy tried to stop me, but failed. Seeing what I was up to, 800 got out of the tank, pulled out a homing launcher, but got blasted. I then received this:

 

 

I texted back a quick "lol". 800 went off radar once more, so I retreated to the construction site (I knew 800 was probably after a jet, so needed to get somewhere safe).

 

Sure enough, the blip of a jet appeared nearby, hovering way up above the construction site. More hate texts were received, and replied with texts such as "lol". I got the notification that players were voting to kick me, and then got told how long I had remaining in bad sport. Presumably, I'd been reported (for something or the other/winning). Not long after that, this happened:

 

 

I got a message from "800" (ThunderFox619); it read:

 

"enjoy bad sport bitch".

 

To which I replied:

 

"haters gonna hate eh? lol".

 

The moral of the story is, bad sport is a very real thing. It exists, and when your enemies are bitter enough to report you, it will work. Always keep an eye on your player status, and if it goes to dodgy, you may as well stop playing for a while. Anyway, time to do something else for 8 days.

You kill the f*ck nuggets who should be the ones getting kicked, they get their butt buddies in there to kick you out. Has happened to me several times in the past.

 

This one time there was a squeaker griefing another player, telling him he would hack their sh*t and what not, I started griefing the squeaker and that f*cker pleaded the lobby to kick me

This other time, dudes who were under level were griefing with tanks, I took em out and started griefing them, they pleaded the lobby to kick me

This other time, a bunch of high level dudes were ganging up on a super low level, I started killing them, they got their buddies and even brought other f*ckers in to vote kick me

and the stories go on but holy sh*t man I was never sent to bad sport. Damn, that sucks.

That's why I don't fight crews and obvious buddies in freeroam, usually leads to false reports and then bad sports (hey that rhymed).

I like bad sport every now and again, it's kinda fun having to be hyper vigilant. I just sticky a couple of crappier personal vehicles and if i'm feeling lazy, I just hang on the deck of the Miracle and eviscerate anybody who approaches my range of sight. These are the perks of being gtao 1%, because it really can get boring with such a high (and legitimate) rank and bank account ( also legit).

 

Didn't know that the amount of times in BS increases how quickly and frequently you will return. Good to know, because at the end of the day I really don't grief people who don't deserve it and I do enjoy the more vanilla, leisurely activities gtao has to offer in free roam.

I was definitely put in. Before the moment in that gif, it told me how long I had remaining in bad sport. I checked my player status too, it's definitely there. I feel a bit like I've served my sentence, but committed no crime.

8 days, it's my third time. Not the end of the world, and I can deal with not playing this for a week or so. It's pretty unjust though, and I wanted to post this so other people look out when fighting groups of friends (since they often report).

You can only play with other bad sports/people who have been reported. For the most part, the sessions are basically empty. Most of the (few) people who are in there are cheaters, and there are only a couple of legitimate players (who've usually been thrown in via false reports, like I have been).

Yeah it does. You can only play with bad sports. Really the only thing that ticks me off about BS. I wouldn't care if I was at least allowed to go in an invite only session with non BS, but that's not possible. The BS lobbies are mostly empty and finding someone doing jobs is like finding a needle in a hay stack. You can do jobs to shorten your time or get good player reviews. For whatever reason though, that didn't work for me. I did countless jobs and received numerous good player reviews but it only shortened my time 4 hours when I did work for more than 4. Thanks R*.

I've been in Bad Sport for months, so i know how you feel.

This is why the OFW menu is great on PS3, spend hours destroying players, cars, getting votes to be kicked and reported... If I get BS it takes 2mins for the reports to be cleared, switch sessions and magically free from Cockstar Jail.

I remember that evening I got 60-70 plus kills across a few lobbies. Not a whole lot of PVs blown up, maybe 8-12? But it was after I got a slew of nasty messages, and people reporting me out of butthurt. So yes, other players can send you to bad sport.

Its really hard to get bad sport, I pretty much fill up the entire activity feed, non stop killing.

Some say at least 30 pvs blown up in two hours to half day via hydra or buzzard will get you there. that's how my friend got in, I lost count after 25 and boom he was in.

 

On xbox one the BS lobbies are empty btw, I met someone today who said I was the first player hes seen in 4 months. He said he had two more months to go.

It's pure sex. You have to be a sexual player to get in.

The kicking system in this game is complete sh*t.

 

Atleast in CSGO it would say how many votekicks have been added.

This is the reason why the in game reporting system must go. Sad part is people who actually use exploits will never be the ones to get placed in the pool. As for your situation OP, those guys were just the icing on the cake. You were probably getting a mass "vote to kick" for the last few days, in allot of lobbies. The vote to kick button does more damage than anything else on that selection menu. You don't have to be in a crew lobby, that guy like many others could've had 15+ friends in the lobby, and wouldn't know it. Not to sound paranoid but you should even check your own friends if you have allot ( Over 50 + ). People on your own list could just vote to kick you for the sake of just trolling. This is why I don't bother with PvP in free roam anymore and just stick to DM lobbies.

That message means nothing, I've gotten it about 10 times in the last 2 months just playing in DM lobbies. That's when people false report using the exploit option. Some people don't understand the concept of head shots. The vote to kick is the one, or being reported for greifing which will tally up the bad sport points, and if you've been in before, and don't play many jobs, it doesn't take much to violate your parole.

I've had a similar thing too - something along the lines of "You are being monitored as a suspected cheater. Behave yourself."

If you've read the original post, then you'll know how I got in. If backing up other players and putting down some loudmouth in a tank is "awfully terrible", then yes; I'm glad to be called terrible.

 

Besides, I don't remember complaining. I had a little story to tell, and a warning to give to others. Now that you mention it though, I might do some complaining on the support site - maybe I'll be able to get something done there. Otherwise, oh well, time for another game to pass the time.

LOL ! I like that, griefing in a lobby , creating anothers pain and frustration is pure pleasure to me, like sex.

 

Now Ill have two weeks celibacy from GTA 5., time to play Fallout 4.
