Is It Just Me or Nobody Plays Jobs Anymore?

I for one got sick and tired of sitting around in lobbies all day long to try and complete my daily objectives. Especially those that require another opponent like Capture: Hold

Got to admit I haven't done jobs since I upgraded, thanks to freemode events, thats my source of income at the moment

Sadly I have given up on missions for the time being since everytime I try to launch one from my phone it only seems to launch "Sandy Shores Airfield". Until that bug gets fixed I'll stick to freemode games and trying my luck at heists.

There really haven't been a slew of contact missions added so some of us are just burnt out on the stale ones we have currently. I honestly wish they'd just release the mission creator. Trust me I know that could prove to be catastrophic... But I'd take that chance.

 

Like many have said the events for the open lobby seem to be popular now.

I grind missions from time to time.

Missions are pretty rarely done nowadays, and when there is one, it's most likely for Los Santos Connnection or that one slow player still doing Rooftop Rumble.

Mission creator could have a lot of fun user created missions... however I do forsee the "Easy money and RP!!!!" missions. The mission description is: "Idle for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes walk a few steps to grab the briefcase. Then walk a few more steps to the drop off. BOOM!! $20K and 3K RP!!!! Smash! that Like button!!! Add! it your favorites!! And Subscribe! to my YouTube channel @_____!!!" Players would be spamming invites to those jobs, while ignoring the fact the even though you get max pay for idling around, you end up making less in the long run.

Well, there are a lot of players that stay in freemode to play GTA online like a lame version of COD exclusively. If you are patient, you can use my get joiners not addled with ADHD if you wait long enough.

 

Also, try to set up your console to be NAT 1. This helps a lot with matchmaking.

I've actually been playing jobs a lot more since the Yacht DLC. My friends dont really play GTA anymore and trying to find 4 competent randoms to do heists is excruciating

There's a ton of missions in the game. I'm nearly rank 140 and still haven't played all the missions, still haven't done a lot of capture, adversary, death match, race and LTS modes just because if you start the job it's hard to get more than 1 or 2 people to join and a lot of time no one will join after like 5 minutes .A lot of the invites you'll get while in free roam is just for money grinding heists, LS Connection, or some bs user created job.

Contact Missions remained quite popular up till the recent Festive Update.

That's when the "Under Airfield or Underpass" bugs have really flared up for alot of people.

This also includes the "No Jobs Found" bug.

 

Will R* fix it?....probably when the next DLC or update is released.

They likely won't waste time sending out a patch for just one problem before that.

 

However there is always the chance R* won't include such a fix, given to push people to buy shark cards.

DO NOTE: You can still play Contact Missions solo without issues, it's just co-op'n with others that includes the bug.

 

Personally I've stopped playing the game all together, for 75% of my GTA time was with friends in CMs.

 

 

If they fix the issue, good, however I think it's funny how R* reps are saying "Reinstall the game".

F*CK those reps, why should they be getting paid to repeat the same message that an automated system could?

I've also noticed a decline with missions.

 

Since the new year...I have been getting the screen that says there are no jobs....keeps searching or start one yourself.

 

It's been weird since the new year.

Would be nice if Rockstar added more missions that weren't oriented towards PvP.

I still play contact missions quite often when I don't have enough friends online to organize a heist or if I just feel like playing solo. I do wish that Rockstar would bring back some of the contact missions like A Boat in the Bay & Chemical Extraction that have been taken out of the game. It would also have been nice if Rockstar would have added more than 1 set of new contact missions since the game was released. I know that we technically got new contact missions with the Lowrider update, but I don't really count them since they combine the absolute worst elements of heists/contact missions in my opinion (most require 4 players to start & the pay is absolute sh*t).
