I don't have a yacht but I agree with this.

 

People have to request entry into your garage or apartment so a yacht should be the same.

Shoot them off or do an invite only session if people boarding your digital yacht is that much of an issue. I love boarding people's yachts and they get pissed because most of the time they're assholes ingame anyway.

Haha, while I can related to some of these posts etc I find it funny as hell to get a boat and go full pelt into the rear of the yacht using their jetskis as a ramp and landing in the hottub or into the helicopter.

I don't care if randoms step onto my yacht. They can't go inside and they can't use my vehicles and I'm in Passive, so whatever.

I like taking my Toro around to other yachts in nearby anchorages to see what color/light combos they picked and what they named them. Very few interesting names, unfortunately.

I don't care if randoms step onto my yacht. They can't go inside and they can't use my vehicles and I'm in Passive, so whatever.

I like taking my Toro around to other yachts in nearby anchorages to see what color/light combos they picked and what they named them. Very few interesting names, unfortunately.

They can still destroy all your vehicles just for the sake of it...happened to me 2 times already, random ass mid level nigga came into my yatch and explode the vehicles... another one was shooting RPGs at the back of my yatch from another yatch

If your defenses are on, then they can't use their weapons.

I drive up to yachts and all the vehicles are missing. I figured that it was because they had vehicle-access set to something other than "Everyone"

My defenses were on with the guy from RPG and he was still able to destroy all my vehicles

I get what you mean but the lawn in a boat should be the short perimeter of water surrounding it and NOT inside the boat :D...as some else i dont know steping inside my boat which should be considered my property ...try steping in someone elses boat IRL to see if they will react as if you were just steping in their lawn lol Edited by Compton Menace

As a relatively poor person, I love going into passive mode, steal a speedophile and cruise around the different yachts around the map. Still haven't got any negative responses from it, most people don't seem to care that I'm on their boat as long as I'm not shooting them or blowing stuff up.

 

Some of them do react to my excessive drinking on board, though. "I'm glad I'm not paying per drink for you or else I would be ruined."

Only when randoms show up in Passive so the yacht owner can't drop defenses and massacre them.

I've come across very few peasants that jump from yacht to yacht in passive mode. And them spawning back at shore when you kill them all depends on where they're standing on the yacht when you kill them

Tips from R*:

If youd like to kick undesirables off your Yacht:

  • Restrict Yacht Access to exclude the interlopers. You can find the Access options in your Interaction Menu.
  • Turn your Yacht Defenses to 'Off' (so you can access your weapons).
  • Kill the unwelcome players. They will respawn on the shore.
  • Turn your Yacht Defenses to On so they cant simply swim, sail or fly back to the Yacht.

And apparently is the yacht defenses able to kill people who sails or swims to your yacht...

Tried this other day and the random player kept respawning at my yatch, and even if they spawned at the shore with defenses ON they were able to simply grab a boat or swim back to my yatch Edited by Compton Menace

I am not to bothered. Never go in a public session without defences on. If they fart in my hot tub just switch sessions, hire some bodyguards, go closed friends session or invite only.

Gather some bodyguards to "remove" them. Or were they lurking around in passive mode air thrusting ? That can be irritating indeed.

 

the griefing now appears to be refined to the point where the trolls show up in full god mode. So no number of OGs are going to remove that particular cancer from your yacht.....
