Well, Microsoft is anti-consumer in it's practices. No, I'm not going into bit by bit. Go read if you want more info on it. They treated gamers like second class citizens with the release of the XBone. Gave you a media box first, gaming console second and told you to like it. At it's core, it is just an update away from being a TV box first again. Microsoft's hyperbole of the "Greatest Games Line Up" is typical marketing dreck. Just release the games and let the gamers decide, maybe? The "backwards compatibility" has been marketed not as a port, which is what it is. They deliberately went for buzzwords, when that's not what the feature is. You don't play native discs, you download a port once the XBone verifies you have the 360 disc inserted. Then you play the port off your storage device.

 

Microsoft needs to get out of the gaming industry. I'd rather see Sony and Nintendo going at it. At least there is a rich gaming heritage there without the arrogance and hubris of the folks in Redmond.

 

BTW - Sony's PS2 port overs to PS4 I'd contend are worthy because they are open to anyone to purchase as they add titles. PSNow for PS3 games didn't affect me, because I had a 360 not a PS3. Further, Microsoft's port overs came really late. Almost 2 years after the XBone hit the streets and many had already dumped their 360s. So if you don't have your supported 360 disc, no port access for you. At launch, it would've been a much larger deal. However, at launch, the XBone was about TV, media and sports. Gaming wasn't the primary objective and the console performed like it. You were just expected to kiss the ring and buy the console.

 

Hence I say, f*ck M$.

 

I'm not a fangrrrl of Sony, but I think they are gaming-centric. Microsoft is only singing about games now because they got their hubris and arrogance handed to them and many gamers walked away from them and the gaming media crucified the XBone for it and rightly so.

Same here, I bought PS3 and PS4 just because of GTA5 alone (of course I did pickup some other games too)

 

PC loads very quick for me and I only met a few modders on PC, but I solely play PC just for singleplayer and modding.

That said, which one is the most hacker free and has the most players?

If I upgrade to a new-gen system then it's now more likely than not that I will get GTA to go with it, but it's still not at a level where I think "Oh, I must have it".
