[PS4] GTA V Time Trials

Something that could keep the thread alive during the trials is to encourage talking about tactics, times and adding videos of ones laps.

I know it has downsides and not doing it is a part of the event. I understand the reasons why.

 

When we do weekly similar events in our crew we do share times and videos as we improve. It works great, but its also amongst people that played together for years.

 

I just wanted to mention it as it can get rather quiet in here at times.

I'm all for conversation about laps - I've been slacking lately on my forum posts but that's why I try to post the corner numbers so we can discuss a bit.

 

In saying that, if anyone can attempt to explain their lines and number the corners in the downhill section in this track I will be truely impressed lol.

 

@Verstappen - I agree - it would be quite hectic in with multiple players. It reminds me of a Tarmac rally section from the old sega rally arcade game.

The hill section is some of the more difficult racing we've had and it's quite enjoying.

That was a bit frustrating at first but man am I starting to like that part. Probably sucks for racing but its awesome for this!

Would definitely make it more alive. But I can imagine people will get frustrated and such if they cant get the lap right they see in a video. Great driving lines to be learned through them though. Some secrecy is also part of the game imo.

Points galore for those who are in so far, I guess everyone hates the SUV class as much as I do.

Not just the class, specifically the Huntley S. I hate its shapes. The Contender, XLS and Radius are more my taste not counting the Sadler.

 

Never been a fan of SUVs in general, add to that the fact that most dont feel like an SUV when driving. This was probably the best track for them though.

I never found that 5 sec shortcut that no_snacks leaked, but still submitted a time in a red Huntley with chrome SUV rims.

Championship Tables are now up to date on page 1 and here are your results for the Round 11.

 

Going by these and the current standings for the Summer Championship I can see the us ending up with a Multiplay Monitor Summer Time Trials Special Edition !

 

Seriously tight at the top of this round with No_Snacks just pipping Iann for 2nd place which has stopped lann hitting equal points with Andy going into the last round of the Summer.

 

Andy takes his second win of the year and a good points haul for The Yardies which sees them jump a good way ahead of VANS in the Summer Crew Table as well.

 

 

This has been the quietest round we've had so far so even people who have dropped a lot of time took decent points hauls.

 

Hipster Award goes to Ermac, mainly for the sheer amount of confusion it caused me when I saw someone had used a Seminole at all.

 

Crew points for this round are at:

 

1st XDBX : 94

2nd YARD : 84

3rd VANS : 82

4th PBMO : 76

5th GTAF : 72

6th YKZA: 30

 

The summer tables make very interesting reading with 3 people all within a chance of winning it this time around and no_snacks mathematically capable of winning it from 4th but requiring a lot of assistance from elsewhere to do so.

Yup, first it was fido with the "1:05 barrier", now it is no snacks.

And some of you people want less secrecy, this is what you'd expect to happen as doubleg has mentioned before, people start saying they got faster times than they actually did and some people fall for it.

Last round i was beaten by Frenchmen with a 0:00.001, and then this time by a Aussie with a 0:00.002. Who is going for a 0:00.003 next round?

I only submitted a time because he said there wasn't many in, I'd done about 6 laps the first day it launched and none since.

 

I've really not been bothered with this stuff lately.

I did the chicane way differently, that lost me some time but T2? Looks very slow there somehow.
