[PS4] GTA V Time Trials

I assumed he was All Stars as well as the official crew just ignored every post I made about the Time Trials.

 

I shall correct that later and update the Crew points. Both have the same crew tag as well which doesn't help.

 

Change our tag to STAR perhaps or similar? Differentiate us from the GTA-F crew

We already have the Off Road All Stars who are Star.

 

I'll go back to my original, GTAF-All and GTAF-Off which I dropped initially the official didn't show any interest.

Or maybe you could put GTAF-AS instead of All which is shorter and also includes the Star.

Could also list gtaf allstars as GTAF, and GtaForums Official Crew as GFOC. that would stay within the 4 characters so you could see a difference between the represented crews on the round results.

To be fair, I had no idea it was even a fast lap as I only did 5 laps total and managed only 1 relatively clean lap. I accepted it to be a really sh*te time until Brau told me he was only able to get 1:39's with the Fugitive. Then I felt a little bit better about it.

 

Guess I don't have an excuse for not using the Panto this next round seeing as it's the only compact that I own.

 

Either that or I could invest in a much crappier car so I can almost guarantee myself the Hipster Award.

Tbh, I'd be faster in reverse in a Panto, I just can't get it around a corner at speed without spinning. Got nothing against its looks.

So yeah, I lied earlier.

No suprise there.

It's something I love doing.

So I decided to get 3 cars for this, Panto, Raphsody and Blista.

All 3 managed to do a similar time around the track.

They all had there different strenght and weakness.

1 had Acc and turning, 1 had Speed and breaking, and 1 had even of all 4.

But I did best in Panto.

But this was only warming up, I only did 10 laps in each and I never touched any of them before this.

I expect to be in the bottom half on this unless I manage to "git gud".

 

oh and the guy on the right in the back behind the blond, kinda looks like me if I actually could grow that long hair.

I was in a rush and going away for the weekend and somehow i didn't send the new time, so doubleg only had my original time...

It's up to you doubleg if you want to count it or not. Maybe i should've PM'd you now, but it's better to post in the topic imo.

 

Either way, i beat you this round Quadro.

 

Anyway, looking forward to the next round. Also, i'm hoping to see the overall championships table soon as well. I missed first 3 rounds due to some "financial problems" GTA-wise , but i'm able to afford 1 new car per round now, so it's all good, but would still like to see how well bad i stand in the overall table.

Anyone else tried this track?

 

I can report, it is so short it is totally unforgiving. It is a case of, 'One mistake and making time up is impossible!'. You will need lots of laps to get that amazing time.

 

I have pulled my Rhapsody out of storage to try and set a time with that, but I might now try he stock Rhap and stock Panto to try and get comparison times. But I am not sure if the very uneven surface and short wheelbase might actually work against the car, one incorrect bump ride and that Panto is toast.

 

I will report back.

I've found the Panto the best so far, did around 60 laps last night.

 

Panto can be unforgiving over bumps, but I've found the rhapsody a little slide through the later half of the track

I find turns 2, 3 and 4 the biggest slide spot in the Rhap, the verged approach with lots of obstacles means it's difficult to keep the wheels straight and the traction down, then the other two quickly follow on downhill so keeping that momentum is a nightmare. I am guessing the Panto will suffer there too, especially with the bumps under the bridge.

 

EDIT : Now I actually have a decent GPU I can actually stream my attempts, either through Steam or Shadowplay / Twitch.

I just did 10 laps just to get a feel for the layout because there is no map on SC, but I felt like half the time I was yelling "NO PANTO NO! BAD PANTO!" It's like a dog with a second brain for its hind legs and every now and then it decides to chase after something else.

 

First lap I had rain still on the road from free roam and it made the lap quite the experience. You should all try 2 laps in the wet in the panto.

Or you could just record it so everyone can see regardless of time if you really want to.
