Rare Weapons...

Is the Tommy Gun, Machete, and Flashlight the only three limited availability weapons in the game?? How does it make you feel that you don't own one OR do own one?? Do you use the limited availibity weapons often. Inquiring minds want to know...

Fireworks Launcher? I think that's rarest, doesn't it disappear from your inventory when you run out of ammo? I know it used to.

IIRC everyone was eventually given a Rosenberg Sweeper regardless of whether they purchased it or not, since there was a glitch and everyone lost theirs.

thanks for the clarification on the Machete. I wasn't sure. It strikes me as a blatant "serial killer weapon", but Danny Trejo's Machete would explain pairing the machete with lowriders...

 

As for the Rocket Launcher...I'd say it's rare, but everyone has been gifted it at some point. The Gussenberg was a gun that had to be purchased, and I know quite a few people that still don't have it...

Totally forgot about the Musket! And, didn't know the Flashlight was a permanent weapon, either...

 

So...the only two truly "rare" weapons are the Gussenberg and Musket, then???

yeah i would say so. the firework launcher was for sale this christmas so everyone has that.

I really hope they bring back the Valentine's Day Massacre DLC this year. I want the clothes, the 'Gusen'berg Sweeper and the Roosevelt.

I love the Gusenberg when riding in the back of vans, the spray pattern means you can annihilate following NPCs/whatever without really aiming too much.

 

Plus, it's one of the best-sounding guns in the game.

I've never had the sweeper, but I've always had the fireworks. The only thing that seems random for me are the malatovs.

Idk about 8, I've got a full 25 in my inventory right now from pickups over time. I never use them cuz they're a pain to replace

I guess it's a difference of opinion among the consensus, but I think that both of the "rare" weapons are great at what they were designed to do. The Gussenberg is perfect for spraying large crowds and implementing cover fire, while the Musket gives you amazing distance without having to scope.

Why is this a topic? When was the last time you were killed by another player and impressed/curious about what gun it was they used to shoot you with?

 

This is about as usless a topic as discussing if fuel consumption should be a factor.
