ADD Yacht Captain...

I've read lots of reports about this, but haven't seen a proper solution. I'm hoping my GoogleFu is failing me and I'm not destined to be perpetually annoyed.

 

Is there a way to get the ADD yacht captain to keep the boat in the spot I tell him to take it to? I know there has to be some leeway given for more than 3 yachts in an area. I paid to move to Paleto Bay only to find it back east of the LS Docks later. Its moved around since but never back to PB and seems to gravitate to the docks area. I've never seen the PB area full either so it doesn't make sense.

Yacht locations don't save unfortunately when you move it to a different location. You may choose to spawn it in L.S., log off, and you will find it somewhere up in Paleto Bay next time. The locations just don't save when you move it.

If I was being suspicious , I'd say they don't save place for one reason , MONEY 25k of probably at least once every time you play, just another little to chip away at your hard earned cash

I've noticed with mine if I want to move my yacht, I go to the shoreline closest to where I want it, then join a new session from there (spawn point is set to my yacht) 9 times out of 10 it moves to where I was at the shoreline (if there isn't another yacht there already in the new session). Does mean hopping between sessions but moves the yacht for free. This only seems to work when I'm already online and choose the find new session option, if I leave Online then go back a few hours later it does go into a random place, not where I left the game.

It depends on the session if there are alot of yachts on a certain location but on my part I get to see El Gordo lighthouse and other eastern parts of the map alot for a strange reason
