Anyone know when the fireworks launcher will go away?

I'm trying to wait until the danger of being stuck with a useless fireworks launcher forever has passed before I use my secondary character. I'm assuming once it is no longer in the gun store, the danger will be gone, but for some reason it is still there. Anyone know when it will go away?

The launcher should stay in your inventory (it was still there in mine since July), you just can't purchase more ammo for it until the next firework-inclusive event.

The Musket and Gusenberg Sweeper never went away (and you can't get rid of them either) because they use common ammo.

The firework launcher has exclusive ammo not shared with the RPG or Homing Launcher, so it can run out and replacements aren't available until Rockstar changes the tunables again.

dude if you get it just use the ammo and it would be gone from your inventory til the next time R* give you some ammo, which is very likely in july.
