Damn this is like what 4 or 5 days in a row? There has got to be some soet of problem or reason, i almost wouldn't mind if we got any clue about what the reason could be.

 

It was for about half a day on the 4th January, thread is being revived because playstation are adding a day to everyones subscription.

there was an issue with PSN at the exact time of the day long GTA Online outage on PS4. Basically GTA Online went down on PS4 and then about two hours later people trying to on their PS4's started getting messages saying PSN was under maintenance. So between those two instances it was pretty much a full days time that was missed because of the the PSN outage and then the apparent maintenance period.

it's getting beyond a joke. If's it's gonna be a regular thing then do that. No-ones gonna get annoyed with regular maintenance but these random outages are just wrong. My PS+ is due to laspe at the end of the week, makes you hesitate. Sort it out PSN!!

Just got that message as I completed the time trail, although I'm still online but the lobby dropped from 28 people to 2...

FFS, I was happily playing some missions with my friend when all of the sudden my PS4 freezes. Now I can't get back online because of apparent 'maintenance'. Fix your sh*t Sony, this is getting beyond a joke.

I wasn't on GTA, but on NFS creating a wrap. If anyone isn't aware, the game is online only, so when PSN just went offline it took NFS with it.

 

... And I lost a hour and a half of wrap editing. :cry:

Maybe the thing that updates the PSN site to tell it the PSN is down is down.

 

 

You're probably right!

 

Anyway, downdetector.com goes from reports of services being down, rather than checking the services themselves.

Yeah, I've had that exact thing before. The forum was erupting about it and I was happily online. I'd leave it on as long as possible if I were you!

You guys saved me the effort I was about to log off of my pc and get on PSN guess ill watch some more anime.

If you can afford it, playing this game on 4K with the modding opportunities available, is literally the best gaming and creation sandbox I've ever played. GTA V is flat out a must own for PC players.

 

I'll keep my FPS and racers and adventure games on console, but PC just can't even be touched with RPGs and sandbox games like this.
