I pay because i like gtao, i get free games (that usually suck) and i can play other games online. I don't TBH, but could. It costs under 0.14 a day. It usually works well enough, and in example today it wasn't Sony's fault that service was down.

I have to go through to that thing twice a month, every month. For some reason the game glitches out and when I start the game up I have to reset everything - brightness, I have to agree to that, and then I have to fix all my settings.

 

 

I did get that message about the transfer thing last night after I got the Rockstar Games Services is unavailable message and it let me in.

That is a bug related to some hotfixes I think. Whenever the game asks you to set your brightness, don't press anything - just close the application and load it again - this time it won't reset anything and you can go to SP/Online as usual. It's such a chore because it resets all of your settings, and this game has a lot of them, so just keep in mind this very easy fix. I haven't had to reset them ever since I discovered this.

Although your solution is correct, the cause is not. It is caused by pressing the triggers whilst the game is launching. Even a slight bump will cause it to happen.

Whatever they've been fixing, it isn't the bug that kicks you out of your garage/apartment when you browse the internet on your phone or laptop.

I was playing last night & a friends son ejected his disc... He could not get back on (server down for maintenance) while we were all still in party chat & playing VIP missions. I hope its back on in a couple hrs when I get off work. Would like to make some cash before the national championship game comes on.

Seriously wha the hell are they playing at? almost 18 hours now. Im seriously nearly done with this game now,almost at day 28 to get the massive cash and rp prize hey had better compensate players who cant get on

If you dont play gta you dont miss a day if you werent on when obj roll over to the next day

This is NOT correct, the game checks when you last logged in on PC/XBox One and Ps4, if you have missed a day it will reset immediately.

 

I have had this happen twice this month, I'm also on Day 27 so if I don't get on today and complete when I log on tomorrow it will be back to day 1.

Explain how I got a weekly bonus for both characters at the weekend then? It was my 2nd characters first, so I could use the awards screen to check and it did not lose progress.

Not enough context to explain it. Though, the Awards page is only useful on your first playthrough. It only knows 28/28 once you've completed the streak for the first time. Today is day 5 and 6 for my characters. I have another 10.5 hours to get them before the next rollover, but with my work and homelife that's not going to be possible.

However there are various intermittent bugs that can reset progress. For example a crew mate lost his progress by joining from story mode directly to a race lobby via an invite. There is some evidence to suggest using "swap character" can cause a reset too.

 

So, whilst you have incomplete daily objectives:

Do not use "swap character"

I always complete one objective in the first freemode session I land in - one of the easy ones like go to the movies, collect a bounty etc.

 

So far, so good.

Yeah, swapping your character will mess it up especially if you're online when it changes over. So what I've done is log off before 1am EST. Then log back in and make sure whichever character I go in with, I do at least one of the objectives so they don't reset themselves.

 

I'm in the same situation. I couldn't get online yesterday. So, I'm sure my objectives are sitting in a holding pattern until I can get online today.

I can't explain that, other than maybe it was a favorable glitch, or it just works differently on new-gen, because you were screwed on old-gen of you missed a day, logged in or not.

I did have one month that gave the $500,000 and 50kRP on week-3 instead of week-4, so anything is possible.

The whole thing (for me) was moot anyway as I was able to log in this morning and get all 6 objectives checked off and still make it to work on time.

a day? rockstar services were unavailable for me since last friday till noon today.

im online, english this time, but i keep getting constant network errors and other issues that kick me offline.

 

a buddy of mine just upgraded to a ps4. he hasnt played in years and wanted to do the heists. online is broken all weekend and he couldnt do it. we joked it was kinda of nostalgic to be stuck in single player because online was broken. just like the old days when we played on ps3.

not servers, there are no servers, meaning there is no servers for them to fix.

 

Rockstar made the incredibly stupid and cheap decision to go with P2P (Peer to Peer) connections for this game which has a rather large number of players instead of going with dedicated servers. P2P has consistently failed on games with much, much smaller player bases and Rockstar made a pretty dumb decision to go with it. The connection issues will not get any better unless Rockstar decides to spend some money and gets dedicated servers. The day long outage on PS4 just shows how dumb of a decision it really was to go the cheap route with the P2P connections.

 

 

I was able to get on tonight on PS4 and it was super laggy. I blew up two players who were running around killing players while hiding in an Armored Kuruma, and the sticky bomb I threw blew up right next to them, but it took at least an extra 5 seconds for the game to catch up and actually show the Kuruma blowing up and to get the notifications that I actually got them.

 

and it would be nice if Rockstar would actually come out and say what triggered the outage of GTA Online on PS4 and what they did during it, and why it took so long for them to get it up and running again. We all know that won't happen though, because they don't want to actually admit that there are some big issues with GTA Online.
