Heists should be locked until the player reaches level 50?

how about no?

How about yes? Yes.

Little young thundercats, think they know it all...Heists ain't no place for jokers and newbies. Would be less abject failure when playing with randoms over rank 50.

I had a level 30 do something the complete opposite of what his role actually instructed him to do.

Maybe I was wrong. There probably should be a restriction for people under the rank of 50. After reading what you all had to say, I thought back on how many times I failed a Heist because I had an unreliable andpretentious low ranks with me.

The times that a low rank has messed up far outweighs the times that low rank has succeeded. At least in my experience. I'm not interested in finding out the hard way anymore. I have very limited playtime, so I don't have the luxury of giving low levels the benefit of the doubt.

That being said I disagree. The host has the ability to kick. I kick anyone under 100 if I have to resort to playing with random. I'm not a rank elitist, I'm just practical. Odds are a level 150 will be better than a 20.

50 gets Pacific Standard Job

40% chance of failure, 58% of epic failure and 2% of getting extremely lucky and then failing on the bike ride.

This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill

Fifteen percent concentrated power of will

Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain

And a hundred percent reason to remember the name.

Yes, but only if they make a change to the Rank system. If the game could combine both characters Rank into one overall Rank and used that Rank to bypass the restriction than yes. (Or even check crew rank) That way a new player would have to Rank up and familiarize themselves more with the game while long time players with a new character could hop right into the action.

I have a good idea. To filter idiots out, people would need to win a game of chess against Lester to start heists.

There would be no trolls or squeakers ruining the heists, instead of a level lock it would be a smart lock.

No way, partner. People will go crazy if Rockstar did that.

People would go crazy because they then would have to actually play the game to level up?

No, people would resort to RP glitches and then you haven't accomplished anything.

There was the Capture glitch that added RP faster than the game could calculate it and the marvelous "Base Invaders exploit" that let me (within the rules set by Rockstar at the time) raise my second character from rank-5 to rank-112 while I slept then went to work.

There isn't a lot of demand for RP glitches these days because so many decent weapons and vehicles aren't rank-locked.

Legit players still wouldn't have to "play the game" very much if they just do the Daily Objectives. A rank-1 character would be at least rank-29 if they did one month of DO's and rank-43 after two months, and you know that doesn't take very much time each day and some take no real skill.

The player can't join or host a heist until he reaches level 50. What do you guys think?

No. I just did the Pac-Standard Finale multiple times with other crew mates, one was level 8, one was level 20. Just tell them what to do.

I had to carry a 75 and 98 through all the Humane set ups and finales, as a rank 50 approx, but with my 2nd character. They quickly believed my primary account was about 550, lol.

Look, pac Stan finale goes way better with players that have unlocked rocket launchers and heavy vests. That's the simple facts.

Depends how you do it. Most of the time, I have one guy run while 3 stay behind. Less chance of someone getting killed.

LOL, ur jumping the gun. The randoms I meet simply HAVE to shoot enough hostages to bring on the swat. They spend all their time rolling around unarmed civilians spraying an auto shotty while I stand there like a spare tool with my RL out.

God forbid they shoot a guard coming down the stairs. They never wear any kind of armour and are always last to leave the bank. Let someone else clean up their mess.

Low levels have no heavy armour and no RL. I have played PS finale over 200 times, and low levels are not worth hassle or time.

No, no, no.

When a new low level member joins my crew, heists help them to rank up quickly. Usually they have to sit in the car and let the big boys and girls do the hard work, but it would be a sad day if we couldn't get our crew members ranked up like this.

If you are the host, just kick those low level randoms.

So there is a big difference between a low level crew mate in your party and a low level random without a mic.

I play most heists on call or random invite. Any solid players (inc occasional low levels that are tight) get a friend invite with a message saying "for heists"

Yes, there should be Rank locks for the heists. IMO, here's what the rank locks should be...

The Fleeca Job - Rank 20

The Prison Break - Rank 60

Humane Labs Raid - Rank 80

Series A Funding - Rank 90

Pacific Standard - Rank 100

This actually sounds like a very reasonable state of affairs. And as somebody above said, it also gives new players an incentive to play the game and earn their stripes. If you can get off the plane and step straight into a PS finale, then what is the point of the ranking system at all?

I have no idea why people seem to relate low levels to children.

Most new players I've met are enthusiastic and willing to learn, as opposed to most level 100+'s who think they're the hottest sh*t alive.

I'm happy to teach anyone that wants to learn. I had to be taught at level 180, when heists first came out. And I was happy to listen to players half my rank and follow their instructions.

But many witless kids are not.

It's the low level, micless random scrubs that spoil it for others trying to rank up and earn good monies.

That's why R* should have set the level bar higher for heists, notwithstanding that a troll is a troll at any level.

Rockstar could easily sort this out (sans discrimination to low levels), with a new Heist Stat sub menu in the View Other Player lobby.

It's a cumulative score across both player accounts that states how many times you have completed that particular heist and how many times a heist finale failed because of you.

A veritable heist kdr.

Don't waste everyone's time asking for 25% until I've seen how you handle yourself.

Fleeca should be lower, but the cap should go up with each Heist. That way no low level noob f*cks up PS for everyone

Keep saying yes, keep smearing low levels. I'll keep a tally of the 200+ level players who can't even get 100 feet from the f*cking bank without getting their sh*t wrecked.

Same as I said before, half the people that play this game that are 100+ ABSOLUTELY f*ckING SUCK at everything GTA. So no, and you'll continue to get a f*ckING NO from me.

I'm gonna say this for the 4th time. Not all low levels suck but most of them do. We are talking about the majority of low levels who fails in heists, not that 1 guy who can do the mastermind challenge at rank 1. Edited by Niko the awesome

and I'm gonna say this for the umpteenth time: Not all medium- or high-levels don't suck, but many of them do. It's a stalemate argument that won't be enough to make Rockstar change the system.

It could be improved, but since >rank-12s can't host and hosts can kick whomever they don't want there's already a way to only play with whom you want: host it yourself or only do them with friends and not randoms or else lobby-hop but don't start crying because a rank-70 can't land the damn plane or a rank-110 who's the co-pilot in the HL finale jumps out with the ground team.

There should be a heist KDR or win loss.

That is the easiest solution.

Just a look will tell me all there is to know.

I never said that hight levels don't suck, a lot of them do, but like I said the majority of People who fail at heists are low levels. But when people join random heists, low levels join to. All im saying is if we have the level lock set to 50 i would avoid low levels joining heists. It would increase the chances of joining a lobby with experienced hight levels. It would give time to low levels to get experience in gta online, and then start doing heists. Or you wanna do pacific finale with a random level 5? Edited by Niko the awesome

That's at least a step towards something rational. Of course, how many times have you been the person whose death caused the failure because the driver f'ed up and was killed first and used the one Team Life and left you in the passenger seat 2 feet away from Patrol Officer Aimbot who decided to kill you second?

I'd be interested in a system that says how many times a player (character) has completed that particular setup or finale. If they passed it 1 times or 20 times, I'd probably go for the 20-times player, regardless of rank even if he was only 15/20. 1/1-guy may have been lucky or the team carried him. If the other guy .

Maybe have "skill-matched" use players' completion-count and group it in 0-5 times (novice), 6-10 times (regular), 11-25 times (veteran)

Regular low levels(not second characters)are not worth it to deal with,Id say about 85% either die,get confused and leave, goof off in heists...I play tons of heists so I can say that for a fact.

Try doing Prison break

Plane

Station on Hard is almost impossible.

Not to mention the Finale.

And thats not even Humane labs,Series A and Pac Standard...all setups and finales on Hard.

You would take weeks to be done.
