Is it possible to punch very fast during fistfights or have I met glit

I was doing this deathmatch where you have to climb obstacles to get to weapons. Had some fistfights with enemies (level 50's and invisible clothes/bodyparts). They punched me 5 times a second, while I couldn't hit back once or defend myself by using the square button. Can you punch this fast by training or is this a glitch? Thanks!

I think its lag, I had that happen in a lot of gamemodes that take away guns, they swing once but you take like 3 hits.

I have experienced this in fist only DM's.

 

People seem to have this great idea that it's a lot of fun to put people together for a fist fight but due to the connection problems

of this game when multiple players get in a brawl one always lags out and gets clobbered rapidly many times (usually me).

 

Also the game's coding is designed for a one on one fist fight so your character cannot defend or counter multiple players attacking

at once.

 

For this reason it is best to avoid hand to hand fighting involving multiple players at once.

You can punch faster than normal than regular left right combo's if you do the running superman punch repeatedly. But it's still only as fast as the animation allows. You witnessed lag.

It's only your fault if you have one of those mythical web connections that speeds up other peoples connections and that special mythical feature is on the fritz.

 

Your computer/system does not directly connect to another players. This isn't a LAN. You connect to your modem which connects to your ISP who connects to a minor hub that routes to a major hub via dozens of other hubs it then connects to other minor hubs linked to the servers who host the P2P connections for the online game.

 

Oh, and every other player in the session/death match has a similar route.

 

if any ONE of those hundreds if not thousands of links is a wee bit slow, you're gunna see lag.

 

There is NOTHING you can do about it. Such is online gaming.

I suspect op may be exaggerating a little to make the point that they were rapid repeating punches , which a part of the game and done with simply repeat pressing 2 buttons , needs to be practiced to get timing right but it is not lag nor is it a glitch of any sort

I can't even fight back in melee or gun fight most of the time in GTAO because of lagging.

Especially when i'm fighting with those player from middle east and north america.

Lag switches exist, and yes, there are people that play this game and use them to gain an advantage. If someone seems to lag one min (mostly in combat) but is fine the next (outside of combat), then they could be using one. Could be.

 

The servers are sh*tty and the matchmaking is terrible - it could just as well be lag generated by players from other countries causing strain on the session you're in. But if you do suspect someone is using a lag switch, observe them well and try to find clues to them using one - like above, they seem only to lag when they need to, not all the time. Be vigilant.

I'm not exaggerating. I've been playing gta-online since october 2013 and have never experienced this before. I hear the sound of impact, but in this case like a burst (4-5) of a machine gun.

You never ever reach a downloadspeed of 40mb/s. You probably ordered a connection that is capable to handle such high traffic, but you will barely reach those numbers. Im so glad my connection goes up to 5mb/s which is totaly okay, if not good.

He's talking about someone lands one punch but you character stumbles back multiple times in a row as if he was hit multiple times rapidly. Not sure what causes it but its a glitch probably due to connection. Similar to riding with a friend and on your screen their car is glitching all over the road.

It's lag son, besides that, melee combat in this game is rubberbbanded like hell which only makes things worse.

 

Just avoid melee DM altogether, I can't believe there idiots who still plays them.
