ChiroVette
Okay, obviously, I know this is my decision. And in truth, for a measly $6.99 it seems like a great deal. However, here are my possible cons for this game and I wanted to know if you folks are experiencing them: One potential con is that I find the driving in GTA games with their "virtual controls" to be slippery and elusive at best. I played III and VC on my iPad and didn't have too many problems, because the driving missions in those games are pretty easy. Even the races were quite doable and I was able to get 100% on both ports on my iPad. But I remember some of the driving/racing missions in LCS on the PSP, in particular, being annoying and frustrating. The motorcycle races in Portland come to mind, as do those CRAZY RC car missions and the later off-road missions in Portland on the dirt track. I was okay with these with the PS2 controller, by the way, though some were still challenging. Honestly, forget the money and the rest of the game. I don't want to find myself frustrated to the point of rage with these race missions using nothing but the virtual controls of my iPad. Thoughts? Socalkev
Do the RC mission in Staunton first to get it out of the way that one is a real ball breaksr!
Fooking Rekt
If you have completed VC to 100%, driving in LCS won't be a problem. Buy it
Lethal Vaccine
VC is nothing like LCS, though. LCS and VCS actually feel a lot more like SA in terms of gameplay mechanics and such. Furthermore, the RC Races DO suck ass. You are given an RC Monster Truck, which is top heavy and garbage. In III and VC, you are given an RC Bandit, which is low to the ground and at least stable. Even for myself doing these RC Races it's difficult on PS2. I can pass some first try, but then other times, I find myself reloading like 8 times before I pass it. Luckily it's only 1 lap and luckily each one only takes like 1:30 to 2:30 in total time, so if you mess up, it's easy to reload and try again. It sucks when you try to do these in a Starter Save as you can NOT save in SI or SSV like you can in III at the beginning of the game, so you ALWAYS need to go back to Portland to save and then use a Vehicle to make into Ghost form and drive it through the subway tunnel to SI or SSV. If you fail doing something, you need to do all of this over. I don't have a problem with it, but there is many things you need to be creative in LCS to get the job done. I'll be starting my 48% Starter Save today for LCS and inside the Starter Save it'll surely have these dumb RC Races complete (Portland, SI, and SSV RC Races). ChiroVette
Thanks for the advice, folks! I was actually thinking of getting a controller for my iPad to make things like driving more fun. One of the things that always kind of, sort of bothers me about the GTA games on my iPad is that the virtual controls feel really wonky to me, even after getting 100% completion in both III and VC on my iPad. I might even snag SA on the iPad, too. When I bought it last, it was a Windows App with controller support, so I played it on my PC. Though, in truth, as much as I love the game's new spiffy look on PC (Windows App) I had a helluva hard time completing BMC Challenge in the Glenn Park skate park. Not because I can't cycle in the game, but the problem I have is I would get every single checkpoint in the race except for the ONE by the park entrance atop the wooden half pipe. I can never figure out how to consistently get up to the top of that even with a controller on the PC. I eventually got it out of sheer luck, but with the bicycle, the controller scheme changes and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to accelerate over the short incline and bunnyhop at to get to the top. I can do it almost every time on the PS2 or regular PC port of the game, but not with the controller on the PC Windows App.
