darkgreenmeme
"So, I got my homie Stanley selling products to the Vagos in Rancho. Only I got a bad feeling since we jacked most of that stuff of them to begin with, and I'm told they got the whole block down there. For my peace of mind I'd like your ass down there and the lookout tip. Keep my dude safe and don't lose the product."Gerald Contact Mission, 1-4 Players [GTA Wiki] Feel free to discuss your favorite methods and techniques for playing this mission, and disseminate any information about how the mission might change between updates. REXX
One of my favourite missions. Lots of enemies to kill if it isn't rushed. Has a decent RP and money payout. As for keeping Stanley alive, normally at the beginning of the mission, charge through the gates and get the enemies with a fast firing weapon. Some won't die, but I'll give you time to reload and take down others. To keep Stanley alive throughout the rest of the mission, best you can do is kill the enemies as fast as you can before Stanley gets involved. Modojo
Love this mission. Extracting Stanley was quite a challenge since he's gonna be with you at all times when you reach the vagos territory. So many ways to destroy the vehicles too. You can simply use explosives or call up merry weather for air support when destroying the vehicles. Cool tip for taking out the vagos boss: His Imponte Phoenix will be located in the driveway. You can plant a sticky bomb before you head into the vagos territory. After destroying the cars you can detonate it rather than chasing him. You can also trap him with your car too lol. I actually found a bus and wedged it into the driveway so he can't get out. darkgreenmeme and Chevchelious
WHAT!?
On the PC the Vagos boss hardly ever goes for the Phoenix anymore. Regardless of if it's available or not. He'll almost always run into traffic to try and jack a vehicle. I never rescue Stanly. It's not a mission fail anymore if he dies (hasn't been in quite a while). In fact if I do save him from the Vagos, I usually run his ass over before I head to Gerald's. f*ck Stanley, man. I've also noticed that somehow it's much easier to aggro NPC's in this mission now when fighting in the alley where you have to destroy the vehicles. Besides dealing with the Vago's that always spawn in there, I also find myself having to get rid of Ballas and GSF that will show up in anything from bicycles to traffic vehicles. I like to use hand grenades to blow up everything but the last vehicle. It's just quick and efficient. For the small lot that contains two vehicles, one grenade will eliminate both. For the last vehicle I shoot the propane tank near it and then run for my car. It usually explodes around the time I get to it, which means the Vagos boss spawns as I enter my vehicle. From there I just drive out and run him over.
rlk232
I think it's a level 6 mission, low paying relative to the ammo you'll have to use. I prefer toss grenades over the fence to blow up the vehicles in the middle of the mission. BTW, whether or not Stanley lives or dies doesn't actually affect payout etc.
Foamysminion
I just smash through the gates with my Armoured Karuma, Micro-SMG blazing, and anything that moves get's blasted.... I didn't realize that there was someone in there I wasn't supposed to kill. Meh, never failed the mission because of it, even though I've probably killed the fool more than once. rlk232
darkgreenmeme
Stanley will have a little blue friendly icon over him when you go to the deal. He usually gets shot by the Vagos if you aren't fast enough. I once did this mission where I called in a Rhino for the second part, and let a friend take care of the cars with it. I sat in a vehicle with Stanley (I was the first one to reach him), close enough that Pegasus wouldn't reclaim the tank. It was hilarious listening to Stanley talk mad smack on the Vagos while we sat in the safety of the car, watching the tank blow up everything. Red Lynx 23
I found that it's safer and more fun to shoot out all four tires on the Vago's leader's car before beginning the second half of the mission. Then it's simple to keep up with him in any other car. You can also toy with him a little too. DentureDynamite and lord tammerlain

rovert
Another tip for rescuing Stanley alive, there's an access to the roof it's in the back near the bridge. Use Assault Shotgun and let it rain. Katterly

darkgreenmeme
A straight-forward play-through using a Gusenberg Sweeper (didn't have enough money yet to purchase a Roosevelt). I kept Stanley alive until the second part, but he kind of rushed it -- he really needs to get a better gun. Pinkarella

IceDree
Stanley is an idiot ... Yea, I said it lol. For the first half of the mission, I drive there, park outside the gate & calmly walk to the meeting, once I have clear view of everyone I bring up my Assault Shotgun & kill all the Vagos, I usually take em all out before they can react. Then I wait for the backup, kill em all & drive to meet Gerald's homie. For the second half... I pick up my Buzzard & blow everything from a distance ... This is the part where Stanley usually jumps out of the Buzzard without a parachute. darkgreenmeme

Tails Prower
I am going to have to try and see if old what's his name does not die the next time I play No Hay Bronca. Found an interesting bug last time though, decided for a laugh to chase the gang boss on a BMX and typical he didn't run that time he got in the Phoenix so I cycled after him and he got to the edge of the storm drain and it came up Mission Passed rather than fail, am going to try and repeat it next time as that makes the last bit of the mission a lot easier. Tails Prower
Possible but his car was just parked on the storm drain so I very much doubt he killed himself, going to check it out again over the weekend.
AusSantos
I've noticed this too, the gang boss makes it to the end of the storm drain and it triggers the mission pass. I thought I was getting failed for letting him get too far but each time it's a pass.. I love messing with his Phoenix before I've killed his friends, nothing like watching the poor guy try to run with no rubber on his wheels.. JC Hammer
Always remember this as the guaranteed Phoenix spawn on last gen, I got them for loads of people for there. The mission will always be special for that reason, best way to get a phoenix back when they were a hard spawn the first part takes too long to make it worthwhile to solo now.. Sky_Light12
the best part is stanley because he is the only on-foot NPC that act as " bodyguard " in online mode . conjuction of kuruma and stanley , it'll be more effective for solo-ing he might be useful for snapmatic purpouses
