Even with modders and modded accounts I've learned to deal with it. I can f*ck up pretty much any person with modded accounts. That's the pvp warrior's life in public sessions. Everyday bro. KurtBong Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Hackers are the only issue I have with this game, last night I had a bounty on me and I was in a Buzzard, I fought off two players who were trying to collect a bounty jumped in my chopper and flew North across the lake and landed on the highest peak, quite a long distance from where they were without a vehicle. Then these two spawn right next to me and kill me, I called the guy who killed me out as a hacker and a cheater which is what he is and anyone who uses hacks are just exactly that. They can't play the game within the rules so they cheat. Giving away money is fleeting but spawning in your car or in your garage, or dropping objects into the game is crapping on everyone who plays by the rules. I've seen players in chrome helos that are invincible, can't kill them with a dozen missiles or they flicker in and out of passive mode or just jump clear across the map without a vehicle. It's beyond just cheating it's interfering with our collective enjoyment of a product I paid money to use and Rockstar has not or will not do anything to prevent it. As I see it Rockstar has violated their own EULA by allowing any of this to continue. Not that I don't fully agree that something should be done but the only result I foresee from a successful lawsuit would be that R* would just pull the plug entirely. A 3rd party anti-cheat would probably eliminate the mod menu issues but the cheaters (not hackers plz) would find a way around that too unless the game was rebuilt for dedicated servers. A real solution isn't cheap for R* and isn't really plausible at this point. The only thing R* can do imo is just ban as many cheaters as possible, which they're also not doing very well at the moment. Luckily we can all go passive and find a new session easily but I agree, that shouldn't be the solution, R* control the game yet they seem to have no control over the players. I was Teleported from my garage to the Air Base in my car, when I got into a jet I was standing on the ground and then had a building dropped on me, went to several servers and it was the same thing and the last time there was a 60 foot robot made of tanks, a guy with 8 tiny reindeer pulling a golf cart and a sail boat driving/flying across the map. Yeah I admit that's not very realistic but it is RGS who has the power to fix this and it is sorta frustrating to go into any server and find random objects in your garage, having money rained on you, weapons given/taken, the annoying people begging for money like a Bernie worshipper, Immortal f*cktards joining missions and messing them up so you can't complete them and pretty much all of this has escalated to absolutely ridiculous levels in the last few days it seems so these douchebags need to be purged, they are violating the EULA even if technically they didn't write whatever software Hack that they put in the game they are using it and apparently it uses the games own builder to function online so that is what needs to be locked out. I know there are legitimate builders who want to make content, but accessing the internal commands while online is cheating. No it was Tuesday right before the maintenance shut-down, funny I didn't see anything like that at Christmas and come to think of it people were being turned into Christmas trees (including myself ) that session. Nah I personally think that modding spices things up a bit,but I would not wanna mod money and levels as it absolutely ruins the fun of playing the game. I would prefer to extract as much fun from gtao by leveling up and making cash thru blood,sweat and time. As for the mods that do not concern levels and cash(God Mode,Modded Rolling etc),they are the bomb!(but abusing such mods is not what i recommend). I won't buy a PS4/Xbox just to get away from modders. Fyi,I'm still on the last Gen(PS3).The possibillity of buying a PS4 is still a distant dream. So yeah,don't recommend wasting dat hard earned cash just for the sake of escaping a coupla modding assholes. MechanicMammal Posted May 16, 2016 Share Posted May 16, 2016 I'm a Xbone player and up till now have not seen anything personally that seems hacked/modded in free mode, until last Friday when a member of the chat party I was in suddenly says "WTF some $T is in my garage and he has shot me". I have no reason to disbelieve what he said so I am a bit worried that it has started on next gen as well. But can not confirm as the guy was a friend of a friend and I did not see it with my own eye's. But the guy in the party said that he reported it and captured a video. Also I have seen with my own eye's modded jobs on this gen like a Capture which had the aircraft carrier from the heists and a UFO from single player in it but I guess these could have been made on other platforms and the Mods were fun not damaging in this case and made it a good fun job to play, this was about 6 months ago I saw this but did not give it much thought till now. I was tempted to buy the PC version of the game but only for single player, as to be honest id like to try some of the mods in SP as I like playing with the film editor etc, but continue to only play MP section on the xbone, but can not justify buying the game for the third time lol.
