Can somebody explain to me how the game works, exactly? I rank up and become more powerful? Do i unlock other weapons and such from progression? It would seem obvious but i'm just making sure since I literally started 30 minutes ago. Doing these Contact missions, i've figured out that they generate quite a lot of "RP". I have yet to complete a race, last team standing, deathmatch, pretty much all other game modes. I keep getting kicked out of rooms when i try to join 'Heists'. I can deduce that they are major robberies for high cash, correct if i am wrong. I hope we can rob banks What is 'JP'? Another question, how do i buy vehicles and houses? I noticed that you can buy high-class apartments in the city but have yet to find an actual house. For vehicles, I just steal one from a parking lot and try to save it in some lowly and shady garage. There are no stores i can find to purchase cars from. You'd think in Los Angeles there would be car dealerships. Also, where are the restaurants? What about the players? I was in Ponsonbys (Correct spelling?) buying a suit, 3 guys come in and kill the lovely cashier as well as myself. One of them had what looked like a M134 Minigun. Anyways, i drove over to this place named LS Customs, I was blown up while going in the garage! It said some player had killed me, how is that even possible if no one was near there? Then someone invited me to their Yacht (That looks incredible, by the way) and I was shown an animation walking outside..This guy shoots me repeatedly every time i respawn. I respawned on the beach at one point and ran for dear life. Is there any way to defend against these people apart from ranking up like they did? Some levels were above 500. One last question..I saw a tag besides their names. Almost everyone had one except for me. I'm assuming that is a mob family or what? Your character will gradually rank up and earn money by playing jobs (missions, races, etc), freemode events or VIP. For vehicles, you can purchase them through the in-game website browser. Purchased vehicles come with a tracker, making it appear as a blip on your map. Most vehicles under the value of $100.000 found on the street can be insured and kept. As you rank up, you'll unlock new clothing, weapons and vehicle mods. And some special rank locked vehicles too. The tags you see next to players names are crews. You can join or create a crew on the Social Club then recruit other players to play with. Playing in a crew earns you RP bonuses as well as money. JP stands for Job Points. Til' this day we still see no point of them being present. Houses and apartments can be purchased online or by walking up to properties with a Dynasty8 Real Estate board. When close to a purchasable property, a black house icon will appear on the map. Rob banks? Til' this day we still see no point of them being present. actually if you get 250 of the job points in one session you can register as a VIP other than that they really don't have much use, except for guaging how active some players are I guess. Other players can kill you while in freemode which is when you are outside of a job (race, deathmatch, capture, Last Team Standing,mission etc.) so watch out for mines and sticky bombs, especially around Los Santos Customs. Highly recommend not to destroy other players personal vehicles because you will have to pay insurance on them (most expensive is around 27k) and you will likely be hunted down until you either go into passive mode, or leave the session. To answer your questions in order: -As you rank up you do get access to new clothing/outfits, contact missions and weapons and modifications to weapons and vehicles and start getting respect from some people -Heists are the biggest way to earn a lot of money, however because your low level and experience that's why you kept getting kicked out. They are also hard to do and require communication. You do rob two banks in the heists. -JP are job points. you get them when you successfully complete a job (race, contact missions etc.) If you get 250 points or more you can register as a VIP. -To buy vehicles/houses, open up your phone and select transportion tab for vehicles and find dynasty 8 realty on there to buy houses/garages/apartments throughout Los Santos and Blaine County. You can buy your own vehicles which will be delivered to your garage which have limited spots available for vehicles they will come with a tracker and insurance, where as vehicles on the street have to have those bought and you run the risk of getting a bounty. -There are no restruants that you eat at. -Some players are friendly, while others are going to be complete dicks and assholes who will try to make you rage quit because they believe that it is funny to do. Personally for me being a high level player, I generally don't do that unless provoked as in you killing me or destroying my personal vehicles and if you do you will be hunted down. -People can do that while you are in shops, so watch the map and switch into passive mode when buying items, if the clerk is killed, the store will be closed for 2 minutes until a new clerk spawns in. -The weapon you saw was the minigun and is not available to be unlocked until you reach 120, which does not take long if you participate in double RP and money events. -Los Santos Customs is the shop where you can upgrade and modify your vehicles to perform better in races and other items, the items are unlocked by rank and completing races, objectives etc. -Yatchs are currently new and people will do that, people will spawn kill people and it is annoying to get away. -As far as defending yourself from a high level player, switch into passive mode which can be found through the interaction menu or you might get lucky and be able to kill them, but you will likely be hunted down for a long time after that -The tag next to player names in the lobby represent what crew they belong to, joining a crew or creating a crew will create bonus RP and cash for jobs completed with members of your crew I hope that answered your question Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Trapped in a store or in no win situation? Just get an easy kill and want get away before they want revenge? Just got a bounty? Just activate a parachute job to fav location.
