BLIMP (as a property)

I've been wanting a blimp in gtao forever. The yachts have me thinking the blimp could be a property that behave just as a yacht. R* could easily stick a helipad on the top and give it AA guns.

 

Are there any hindrances that would prohibit such an addition? I need a blimp!

I don't want a blimp as a property. It's just not a good idea IMO. But as a vehicle, sure. Never understood why they left them out of Online. When I periodically see one in single player, my eyes get misty thinking of the Online possibilities.

It could be upscaled. My only hold up is the helipad. Perhaps it would have to pick us up with a rope ladder. I really feel like the blimp has huge potential online.

I know. I have a degree in physics and have done lots of buoyancy equations in addition to classical mechanics. It could easily be built with a catamaran-type design lol.

You're right. Helipad on top is a bad idea. Must use jetpack.

Yeah it would be less fun in freemode than in actual jobs. GTA race with blimps could be pretty fun I think.

yeah and how may players were there using blimps at the same time? one or 2 max? if that is the case then that is where the problem lies. What's to say if there are 25 players in a session and 15 of them have blimps out and because of that the game crashes? Players would start complaining about Rockstar adding it to the game with it does not work right and causes their game to crash. Just because it worked fine for you and (this is a guess) a couple of other players does not remotely mean it will work if half the players in the session are using them at once.

 

look at it this way, would a lot of players buy it if they released it online? the answer to that would more than likely be yes, so in their right mind would Rockstar lie about something that they potentially could get a lot of money from, especially from the players that might buy shark cards to get it?

Seriously, no, it would never work as a property, but there are all sorts of other possibilities for the blimp:

> Bouncy Wars LTS with blimps.

 

> Helium Trial Pump Up, without bursting.

 

...not that many options though.
