Mr.singh367
i have a laptop with a amd a6 3420m apu, amd 6520g igpu and a hd 7450m dedicated gpu. when i have amd dual graphics enabled it uses 1800 out of 1024mb vram, the game lags a lot and the world barely loads and when i have it disabled, it uses igpu which only has 512mb vram and the same thing happens, this is really annoying because it makes the game unplayable and rockstar wont help me either. i am running windows 10 64bit with the latest amd drivers. BobFromReboot
I'm pretty sure with crossfire the cards need to be very similar if not identical models. Never heard of anybody combining integrated graphics and a GPU like that for any sort of performance boost. I could be wrong though.

DEALUX
The APU doesn't have its own VRAM. It uses whatever system memory was assigned to it. Also, the memory doesn't add up in a dual GPU configuration since the data that is processed is mirrored (1 GB + 1 GB = 1 GB, or 0.5 GB + 1 GB = 0.5 GB). You need a dedicated card with at least 1 GB of VRAM to be able to run the game properly. I think that even the lowest settings go above 512 MB of usage so you're screwed. DEALUX
You could try to assign more memory to the APU via the video card settings or BIOS settings. The memory usage counter seems like a hit and miss to me. The usage is most likely higher (or sometimes lower) then it actually says there. That's a good idea, but i really do want to use the dedicated gpu for aswell more performance Edited January 3, 2016 by Mr.singh367
DEALUX
No. I meant that using the dual GPU option may not work properly if your integrated graphics (APU) only has 512 MB of RAM assigned to it while the dedicated GPU has 1 GB. Only 512 will be used in your current situation because the content stored\processed in VRAM has to be the same. In other words, you need to link two GPUs with the same amount of memory in order to use all the memory available. Two cards with 1 GB of VRAM will utilize 1 GB, NOT 2. The memory doesn't add up and the lowest amount available in one of the cards will be the one that's used. Your APU is probably crippling the performance because you can't use 1 GB of VRAM unless you assign 1 GB of system memory to the integrated graphics.
