Helping people out in public lobbies...

So I just took half an hour out of my time to spawn hearses for random people and this is how it went down:

 

-Only half thanked me.

-90% had no idea what a hearse was.

-Three people thought I was glitching.

-Two people left without storing it (at least).

-One person blew two hearses up, ran away, and came back for the third hearse.

-One person didn't know what a garage was.

-One person asked if I spawn money.

-One person asked me what a spawn was.

-My thumb is sore from answering stupid questions and messaging people on a controller.

 

So I didn't have to do it, yeah. Still, I helped some people out who were very grateful. That makes it worth it, but I think half an hour is a bit too much for the future. I got around 15 spawned.

 

Have you guys done anything like this then been surprised? Or do you have a similar experience to me? Have you given any good advice out and had it dismissed by idiots? Have you given shooting lessons? Let people use your vehicle to get revenge on someone? Do you not shoot on sight? What is your stance?

They only really spawn if someone else has one. A bit less hard to get than the Dubsta 2 though.

Pro Tip: Ignore all the stupid texts/questions.. If someone is a major idiot, run a Hearse to LSC and put a bomb in it real quick and take it back to the Funeral Home. Let them have that.

I wish we could add markers and text signs to the game to advertise such services. I know it would get abused, but I would use it right: "Miljet tour of the windmill farm. No refunds because you won't need it!"

When I'm with my friends I don't hel p anyone. Those who are next to me are automatically targets, especially if they have crappy names like "CoDpro2006" or "SniperOP". That's what we usually do as soon as we find a lobby: we look for VIPs and weird names, then if someone tries to kill us while we're on our way, we change target.

 

However, if I'm alone, I just explore on my own. I help those who seem to need a hand and kill those who dare shooting at me. I mean...why the hell are you using an RPG against my Insurgent?!?

I definitely haven't done anything as involved as that. Just yesterday, though, I messaged a Level 1 player and offered to help them out if they ever needed it. They were thankful but I doubt they will ever reach out.

If I see a low level I tend to send a bodyguard invite to them, do missions and give my cut to them

You two are the worst. What can't I do next around here huh? I did this once and if they don't want it then they don't reply. I had around 5 taken without asking people. Two of those guys were really nice and they both spotted them, thanked me, then stored them. I'm also not as stupid as to not be in passive mode because of people like you guys. Seriously this is why people who live next to each other don't talk to each other any more. The world has gone to hell.

Ive been spawning up hearses for randoms for years. You get about one in 15 that will take it. The rest just get confused.

I did the same thing before, announced on the mic to the lobby "I'm spawning hearses, anyone who wants one is welcome". No one seemed interested.

 

I even drove the hearses up to randoms and dropped them off right in front of them. Most just drove away in their own car.

 

I did the same thing with NPC modded Dubstas, with the same results, one guy took the time to RPG me sitting in the Dubsta though.

I'm not surprised about the results OP got knowing how people behave in public lobbies. If random player sends me polite message and ask help I will help them, but if they just approach or follow me I threat them as enemies. I always send "Thanks for the help" message if someone helps me, but it really varies how players respond when I help them.

 

Some time ago I went to help three new players when armored kuruma griever spawn killed them and kept following after those players went passive. After I gave lesson to this griever I sent some instructions to those new players, but got nothing back. Maybe they didn't know how to reply or something, no big deal. Another case I remember was in last week when I got bounty on my head and some guy tried to claim it, but I managed to kill him. After that he started to abuse passive mode to get near me. When I managed to get in safe area I sent message to him and asked why he can't play without abusing the passive mode. Turns out one his daily objectives was "Collect a bounty". Because I like to complete daily objectives too I helped him out. After that he was happy and thanked me.

The GTA O player-base is generally terrible. If you're on by yourself, 99% of the players in your session are fools. Sad but true, there are no decent randoms which is a huge shame.

Most of the GTA community are free roam warriors with no cash to mod cars, most have less than 10 vehicles total

 

I used to ask if anyone wanted one but the lack of interest caused me to stop.....

 

BTW, the Hearse is a great vehicle to complete Titan of Job solo - provides great cover to snipe everyone

Back in day I used to mod cars and try to give them to people and it used to kinda annoy me when they didn't even store it, haha. The least they could do is sell it!
