Picadorito Posted January 3, 2016 Share Posted January 3, 2016 It would have been easy to make an extension of the GTA 5 storyline and at the same time, a test of female protagonists in the franchise... and switching between just two characters. Let's say that Franklin kills both Michael and Trevor, and now he's the leader of the Families... When Wade learns Franklin killed both he tells Michael's family and she suddenly decides to take revenge by taking down Franklin and the Families, with Wade's help who wants to avenge Trevor. I know Amanda only steals some jewels and Wade is lazy in GTA 5 story, but when some people gets furious and want to take revenge, they could became dangerous criminals. And I know that after three years it's unlikely we'll get an DLC extension of the story, but it would have been fun a story with those two, seeing how Amanda used to cheat on his husband, and Wade becomes a ''player'' late in the story. After all, by the fact of greenrock, Jimmy could beat up his father. Really though I would like to see an enraged motivated Jimmy (like Batman) take on Franks. I think both of them are fine adjunct characters, and are very well done and nicely woven into the story, but I don't see them as intrinsically strong enough to have a spinoff game or even storyline DLC made from them. They just don't strike me as lead character material. Oddly enough, under the right set of circumstances, I might be on board with Jimmy being a protagonist, BUT it would take a lot of hoops jumped through by Rockstar to pull that one off. The problem with Jimmy as a main character is he is too weak, soft, and whinny to be a criminal mastermind. So the only way that could work at all would be some huge intro cinematic showing some profound life-changing events that seriously toughen him up. Perhaps if Rockstar killed off Michael right in front of his family in a particularly cavalier and brutal fashion, it could trigger a series of events whereby Jimmy could rapidly grow into both the patriarch of the Townley/DeSanta family and follow in his father's footsteps as he spends the entire story allying himself with others (maybe Trevor and Franklin) and slowly his character is built as he spends the entire story seeking to avenge his father's death. I doubt this is anything that Rockstar would even consider, but I don't see ANY of the other GTA V characters as being capable of anything more than supportive roles. Even Jimmy is a huge stretch, but he is literally the only one that could come close in the world of GTA V. lol Next thing someone will suggest Maude as a GTA protagonist. ELOSOJER Posted January 3, 2016 Share Posted January 3, 2016 I can sort of see Jimmy being driven to avenge the death of his father and Uncle T in somewhat of a Jack and John Marston, Red Dead Redemption kind of way, but Amanda and Wade seems to be reaching a bit. I just see Wade continuing to sit inside the Vanilla Unicorn and continuing to listen to the same six songs.
