As much as I would love to agree with you, rockstar won't be making much from shark card sales on old gen, as there's no new content, while current gen has heaps of new content, so more people are buying shark cards. Rockstar are a business and are simply focusing on what improves their revenue.

 

No new content, but at the end of the day, Rockstar is the one releasing the content. Also, I'd hate to imagine how much money Rockstar cropped up from all those initial GTA V sales on the PS3 and X360.

 

It would help the situation if the Shark Cards weren't so ridiculously priced. You'd have to be an idiot to spend $100 to get virtual money.

 

 

Like 99.9% of the GTA:O community. They just don't die and that pisses you off. Also people should stop making themselfs look like complete farts with calling them hackers.

And don't forget, you only hear about the griefing modders, never about the good ones. I've met multiple modders on this forum before i started modding my own accounts nowdays. I can't thank them enough for all the awesome paint combo's and bodystyles i've received from them.

 

I'm yet to come across any "good" modders. They've all been assholes in my experience.

Nope, they can just type/select what they want their kd ratio to be. They are blowing people up all day just cause.

If I want to destroy a lobby and ruin people's fun I don't need mods and godmode for that, I can take care of that without a menu.

I understand a few low level newbies mistakingly think just because someone higher level, better health, stronger armor vest, or in a armor kuruma, or just a better player doesn't die from a few bullets is automatically a 'modder'...

 

But if someone is still standing, with full health, after taking 7 clean shots, 3 in the head, from a heavy sniper rifle, close enough to see the eyes if the target, when the shooter sees the red on the aim, red flash on the hit, but health remains full, and the target doesn't have the passive mode on,.... he's a modder, hacker, cheater.

 

Or take several direct hits from a rpg, or grenades, or several seconds of a mini gun, direct hits, ... again, no passive mode, he's a modder, hack, cheater.

 

If there is no one around you, and all of a sudden an explosion happens with you in the center, and you see on the screen several others all die at once... there's a modder, hacker, cheater.

 

If this happens while you are in your apartment, and or it happens again and again, other's dieing or not, there is no mistake, there is a modder, hacker, cheater.

 

If it rains money bags, or if you all of sudden is transported inside a building, or high in the sky, or end up in a large tea cup that has a fire inside... or simply have carrot, for a nose. Thers is no mistaking it, there's a cheat. A low life scum who has no real life, cheating.

 

Besides, If I'm in a public lobby/ session, and I see an alien egg for a head, or any thing that's not suppose to be there... it's a F-IN CHEAT, RUINING IT.

 

Go mod in your own invite only lobbies. Want attention? record it and post it on you tube. If I wasn't invited in, nor agreed for that crap, it is unwanted, and in my opion, online harrasment. And there are indeed laws against online hassasment.

 

Just cause I can only afford to play on an outdated, obsolete old gen, it doesn't give modders the right to crap on my game play.

 

And yes, If It's a mod is in the same lobby as me, even it's just some making gis car look cool, or had a cat or deer as a skin, or a freakrn carrot for a nose and it's not hurting anybody... still, a mod, changing game code for his person whatever, he's a hacker AND A CHEAT. ALL ONE AND THE SAME FOLKS.

 

 

I can deal getting my butt kicked by s better player, it may frustrate me, annoy me, even piss me off... but I can accept it. It's legit. But everything I described above, and so much more, sorry, modders, hackers, your chesting. No excuses.

 

None of it is wanted. GTA yes, your own stuff, no. Quit forcing your code onto others.

(i got a mod menu to have anti-crash,because on PC they can force-crash you)

R* have really stepped up their game banning modders, it was so so sweet last night, playing on PS4 there was a level 8000 being a racist asshole to some other guy in the lobby, all his stats where low like a new player, he owned every vehicle type and a yacht.

 

I reported him ingame and I think others did aswell because about 30 minutes later we just hear him say f*ck IM BANNED f*ck and he left the lobby

why ? here's a possible reason* ( as well their weakness )

 

 

~ in some cases , player will do whatever it takes in order to win the game ( even if its cost them money )

because they're intolerance of losing ( at which would lead anger )* this is best observed when your-young immature self in past loves winning but hates losing

~ invincible glitch foils explosive inducement ( a ability that kill selected/all player by induce explosion at their current position , regardless distance ) , allowing the foe emerge alive [ UPDATE 1 ]

~ superiority complex , the user is prone to overconfidence as they believe they're invincible*

~ mods can't be used in next gen platform ( not yet at least , 5 years of mod " staunching " is enough )

~ mods may or may not need to be updated ( which may because of the game's patch ) . this also count side-effect from the mods as they may contain annoyance bug to freeze

~ being nigh-invincible eventually leads boredom as no one can give the user major challenge due the user handles the problem way too easy

~ explosive-resistance vehicle ( Rhino/insurgent ) may able to survive few explosion caused by explosive inducement ( unless the abilites applied to vehicles were also one hit effect or if said ability being spammed )

~ depending on platform ( or spec in case of PC ) , overusage of certain mods ( such as spawning 10 humback whales on PC ) would result the game crashing

~ while the user is physically invincible in-game , roasting them in speech can still cause them go berserk

~ the user cannot take full control of other player's characters , only changing their models , inducing death upon them , giving them item , teleport them , etc

~ in terms of mirror match , other modder may or may not able to forcefully cause fellow modder to suicide

~ there is no such thing as perfection , as other player can still resort with lag switch , DDOS , etc

~ game breaking glitch ( such as freezing issues ) or even error messages ( sign outs , time outs ) pose threat to modders

~ players can also take advantage of game's worst server . by allowing themselves very laggy , it may cause the modder lag as well

~ most of mods has description " use it at your own risk " , so if anything happens to user's account ( such as getting banned or worse ) they has to take the responsibility

~ depends by their intelligence , victims may try to outwit the modders ( example : A records & screenshot the gameplay of modder's action but the modder doesn't believe , so A send the modder the proof of his screenshot then the modder got freak out )

~ if the modder had their mic out , a horrible sound may irritate them ( such as chalkboard scraping )

- this can be rectified by muting the player who was causing the ruckus

~ while user open their mod menu , some of user's actions were omitted to compensate buttons for mod abilities

It's too broad to say just one reason for them all. They're modders as they have access to a modmenu they're hardly building the menus themselves as they ain't coders nor hackers. If I could hack I'd be emptying Kardashians and Lil Waynes banks not attaching UFOs on random people on GTA.

I've had it with these combat roll modder scrubs, who think they're rambo when they roll like thick, brainless idiots. They roll more than they actually shoot. I managed to own two of these noobs this week, with one going into passive and leaving shortly after, and another eventually moving onto another player. They weren't even that good, despite having unfair modding capabilities.

 

There was another time where I came across two combat roll modders, who actually turned out to be buddies. I managed to obtain the most kills on them, since they were very bad and had to rely on the incessant rolling. I would free aim them in the distance, and they would run away, since they realise they're being shot and bad at aiming. I would then finish them off as they try to run away.

 

Just a bunch of unskillful try-hards, who think incessantly rolling with their cheaply modded accounts and four digit rank gives off the impression that they're rambo and superior. Everytime I call them out on the fact that they're modding cheaters, I get no response, possibly because they want to avoid embarrassment from being caught, or from getting their ass handed to them, even when they had the combat roll mod as an unfair advantage.

I remember trying to host a LTS on the PS3 and these idiots showed up with multicoloured Gamertags, levels 7777, invisible bodies and 2899999988.0 K/Ds... Mckeever was gonna let em stay but he also noticed they had Bulletproof Helmets on, which in a weaker weapon LTS ain't really fair on everyone else joined(Lol) Moment's after kicking them a player who I didn't kick cause he never had any of that crap warned me "Hey you shouldn't have done that, why'd you kick them?!"

 

Before I could even explain to the modders friend that I run a clean and as-fair-as-possible ship, and that their mates looked like the poster child for Gta Modders I got DDOS'ed... for an hour straight!

 

They're people with modded accounts then there are people running around just wanting to be dicks.

Always love playing with you, Mckeever (unless that one guy is playin' my system just doesn't sync with his for some reason. It's like he's playing from the moon). It literally takes me an hour to find a decent DM (choosing random) that's not 1,000,000RP HACK, Nuketown, Inside Franklin's house or ParKoUR!...and even after I find a decent one, 95% of the time it's "owned weapons". And good luck getting into a game where you don't have any invisible players or bulletproof helmets. Hate it most when the invisible, continual roll players talk sh*t like their great.

 

Red Dead. Man....it was sad to see that one go downhill. So many good players. Weapons were great and mostly evenly matched. Had some great matches there before modders took it over. Can't wait for RDR2. Supposed to come out in October.

 

Modders are typically lonely people looking for some sort of acceptance of their existence. Be that through making everyone have a fire hydrant on their head, giving away money or just killing an entire lobby repeatedly. They like being talked to.

If only that was the case. I had four crappy experiences with modders yesterday, all in deathmatches.

 

The first just seemingly had guns while the rest of us were playing a BMX parkour match. Just aiming at other players killed them. This resulted in an insane amount of kills, with basically no deaths. This happened later again, with another player.

 

The second spawned himself to the weapons almost instantaneously after the match started. It was the same match as above. No one started with weapons, and yet he had weapons within the minute.

 

The last decided to remove my weapons in an 'owned + pick-ups' team match (K/D of around 5600, although he claimed he didn't mod).

Well it is extremely easy to grab other players IP's in many other games, and with that said yeah I think its a shame we can't do that in GTA Online. Everytime a hacker comes in to f*ck with everyone, well then it would be great to f*ck with his internet. And btw, to the guy on the last page; you can buy 6 gigabit attack service(DDOS'er) with attacks up to 300 sec's for 5 USD per month.

I actually killed one of my old friend's router. He didn't believe I could take his internet, so I asked if I could try to do it, he said he didn't believe and that I could do it and 2 minuts later he was offline AND he didn't come back online till next day because I fried his old sh*tty router. Well yeah I was an asshole but that sh*t was funny as hell.

Well, it didn't take long, even with the theoretical 20-year R* banwaves, and cracking the .dll injection methods...

 

You know it's bad when you spawn back into freeroam after completing a Capture or Race, turn around, and literally see this staring you in the face (yes, those are Railguns... and yes, they use them with typical AI accuracy if you try to shoot them):

 

 

But players using godmode is at an all-time high, too. Shortly after the above, I ran into a douche in a Buzzard griefing me who was using it (two point-blank direct hits to his chopper with a HL kind of confirms that).

 

At the rate things are going, I won't be surprised to see money bag drops back in full force. Just a matter of time.

As for your story about the godmode helo. Lag can cause that as well... it looks like you hit the chopper, but on his end you missed ... similar to when riding with someone and they appear to crash head on into a wall only to seconds later be way down the road ... i'm sure you've seen that. The farther away geographically the player is from you, the worse that gets ... nothing you can do about it really.

 

EDIT: FOR EXAMPLE... I was convinced some guy (clearly Australian or New Zealander by the accent in voice chat) was hacking until others were able to kill him. He survived multiple headshots from special carbine from me ... on his end, he was not hit... it probably looked to him like i was a noob

I hear ya, but that was definitely godmode. He was literally hovering ~20 in-game feet from me, trying to hit me with rockets, when I fired both those HL rounds directly into his cockpit.

 

Not a scratch to his Buzzard.
