late last night i was in a lobby that had a hacker that blewup everyone in the lobby twice, and i even saw a hacker (it might have been the same hacker) put a insanely high bounty on another player (around $99999.000) way beyond the max you can set the bounty to.

i did report him even though it will most likely do no good.

r* needs to get their ban hammer out.

Simple because they can. If you robbed a bank in real life without too much work and no one punished you wouldn't you do it again. Only way to fix it is having a solid anti-cheat system.

What I hate is when they jam the windmill at Eclipse. I don't live there, but my heist leader does. Man, it's carnage once we step out of the exot cutscene.

I consider it the Godmode effect.

While I was on Last Gen Xbox, when a modder would be in a lobby, everyone would clamor around them begging for money.

I'd politely send a message and say, "let's hang. no $." and every, single time that modern would transport me to their whereabouts and we'd spend hours tooling around the map with him/her just showing off their mod-menu (flying cars, funny skins, rooms you can't get to, etc.).

 

Some people reported them and others just harassed them. But for me, it was interesting to see what they were really about.

They're just bored people with access to a menu of options that gives them superior abilities in the game. That's all.

They just enjoy THEIR fun, at the expense of other players. Some are very nice, normal people; others are ground turd.

My thoughts, anyway.

The reason why is simple, it's called epicaricacy, but it's better known under it German name, schadenfreude, which literary translates to hurt-joy, it means to derive pleasure from the misfortunes, pain, or suffering of others, like say watching some clip compilation on youtube from people failing at stuff and then hurting themselves, and then laughing your ass off.

 

The same principle applies here, they cause you to suffer, you rage, they have fun.

There's nothing grown up about a hacker or modder more like a complete waste of human existence and its morons like you that are just laughable. what positive things do you do or offer for the game? exactly. Well I was talking about modders who explode everyone in a lobby and make other people responsible for it!

I have no problem with ones who have a lot of money or don't harm other players.

Different strokes for different folks. There are plenty of cool modders out there, like fw3 mentioned. My experience of mod menu users is largely as he described. That is to say that, yes there are assholes who mod, but there are also some pretty f*cking cool ones.

 

My most recent modder experience was running into two chaps driving around in a Comet that was shooting streams of fireworks out the front, wishing everyone a happy new year.
