You have to tell the driver where to go because they don't see the checkpoints. So you either need a mic or use the d-pad directions to tell them where to go. You would think so, wouldn't you. I often use this race for rally race objectives, did have one time where I was the navigator, and watched my driver and the driver of the other team both drive into the prison itself; my driver got the car completely stuck. Fortunately the other team got out and finished the race. There's now a few other races that I have done often enough (usually for testing cars) that I can drive them successfully without the waypoints and sometimes I'll do those for a change. I gave instruction to turn right and the driver proceeded U-turn, but soon the driver understood that track goes like in normal CR race and we finished the race. I have been only once in proper rally race and that was in 2013. Those players knew what to do and that was fun race. Not all of us are teenagers playing the game some of us have family members sleeping in the same room etc. Then some of use have really bad internet that can barly play the game online, and can not handle voice chat. And honestly, IMO most people could care less about Rally Races anyway. I've only ever played them using Criminal Records to complete my Daily Objectives...they're like the race version of One-on-One Deathmatches. Naturally unpopular. Most people simply cannot grasp the concept of what to do like in Pacific Standard Vans that you need a mic or to use the d-pad which can't give all the directions you want anyway.
