Why can't I play online?

I've been waiting forever to get the game and now that I have it I can't even go online and play it. I got it a few days ago and I started off by updating the game. After the update, I went into story mode, the world didn't barely loaded (Buildings were missing their textures and there were invisible cars) and my whole system froze after five minutes of gameplay. Then I rebooted my system, went online instead and I can't even get to the first mission without the game freezing up on me. The disc isn't scratched and my PS3 doesn't have hardware problems. I tried deleting the GTA V game data and re-installed the game without updating it; after that I had hours of GTA V offline story mode gameplay. I only got it so that I can play with my friends. What am I suppose to do now?

Get a new system if your system is acting like that.
