Mark01 Posted January 2, 2016 Share Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) Hi I've had the idea of converting all the props from GTAV to SA for some time to make the game look less crap and I decided to start with the palm trees a few days ago, I don't know if I'll do all the other trees and props because it takes quite some time to convert them properly with proper polycount vertex colors, nvc and mipmaps so I'm releasing the palm trees for now, I probably forgot some tiny palm trees but I'll keep on updating the files once I'll convert them. Tell me if you like it, I know i've seen other convertion the palm trees from GTAV but I don't think they've got vc nvc nor mipmaps so instead of keeping it for myself I though it was worth of a release. Probably if the texture file "gta_tree_palm" has all the other textures BSOR uses, if not, it won't work. To be considered a full replacement of palm trees, it is necessary to replace the 41 models. Probably if the texture file "gta_tree_palm" has all the other textures BSOR uses, if not, it won't work. How many models have you done? Definetly I will check your stuff out, thanks! I haven't done much yet, I'm doing a little bit of everything atm, I'm doing other props and texturing too. I know you are doing the GTAV vegetation too, maybe we could work something together if you want to. I don't know how you work but I do them one by one and see if there is not any glitches and apply the lighting maybe I should just convert them all and do the details later to gain time but it still does take a lot of time to find the right types of trees in the archives. from the screenshot it looks like the vegetations doesn't have the alpha bug , cool. Unfortunately, I did not simply converted from the game, I have only to stylize, because I can not do collision (the ability to collect himself assembly). Palms I did on my trunks, but inserted fragments of leaves from GTA 5. With trees will be very difficult, because they are in SA more than in the V. The worst thing with which will come across, is Redwoods. As long as the base of the trees have the same size to the ones you convert from GTAV I think it's fine to keep the default collision. Also where is your "map of vegetation" ? I can't find it anywhere. Some screens, I won't be making new screens anytime soon unless I get more vegetation done. Mark01 Posted January 18, 2016 Author Share Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) Ok so I've made some more progress I've converted approx 55 trees, i finished palms, regular trees in LS, country and pinetrees/forest now what's left are all the desert stuff with bushes and LV palm trees and probably more... thx to YourCreatedHell for the 'vegetation map' which make it easier to convert. Some screens Files have been uploaded and will appear online shortly how to download??? hhhhh It's not uploaded by the staff members yet. Ho kayHhhh. 8/8 m8 u have to w8 EDIT: Update I converted the grass model and textures. Also I won't post here anymore unless I finish the mod, I will post updates on my blog instead of here so if you want to know the progress of the mod come to my blog.
