Dear Gims Evo - Open IV developers!

 

Can you give me information about the estimate arrival of the: exporter function of GIMS evo 3ds Max to GTA 5 .ydd ?

Weeks? days? half a year? just estimate time, what I ask...what I can expect about this project.

Pllllz dont leave this mod 3ds max and GIMS are the best app to develop gta 5.

That fact doesn't reduce the amount of ZM suckage though :-D

The GIMS release is not depends on next OpenIV version.

Can you tell us at least what bugs there are? haha I just want to know.

I admit having Zmodeler is a life saver and I really want the 3ds max scripts because It's my main program.

Just to let you know I appreciate the work you do. GIMS IV was amazing and I still use it sometimes.

The GIMS release is not depends on next OpenIV version.

But 3Doomer can't make any progress without your reverse engineering and documentation about file formats used in the game.

OpenIV 2.8 with ODR~YDR export/import support was released back in May. 3Doomer as member of OpenIV team had access to those formats even before release.

He have access to all our research, source code, documentation (even if we do not have any actual documentation) etc.

There is nothing blocking him from making ODR support in GIMS Evo V except lack of free time and little motivation.

I am so overhiped of this! I have alot of GTA San Andreas projects that i haven't release, i don't want to convert all these to make it workable with Zmodeler :( i need this awesome plugin.

I wonder how many bugs of Zmodeler i get with the 3Ds Max plugin... just like the bugged vehicle_interior shader that do some crazy stuff with the normal map. Or how the animations would work, of something like the supsension.

Or more like, does the plugin fix this collision issue where the rain falls inside when we are not sitting inside the vehicle and have create our own collision?

And another think i ask me is, would this plugin allow us to import our current Zmodeler projects without bugs? Zmodeler over 3Ds Max are not compatible for GTA Sa mods.

The best reason for using this 3Ds Max plugin is 3Ds Max and that Rockstar made GTA V with 3Ds Max! I found a file that was linked to a 3Ds Max project file of GTA V

Hello.

i like your plugin for 3dsmax. i mean GIMS. So do you think we are able to import export cars from max to gta 5 any soon ?

or your working on something rather than cars ?

You people should better read some older posts before asking questions about cars...

There won't be any cars without OpenIV formats.

 

All I can tell is the cars aren't in the first priority yet.

Could you do a road map like the OpenIV map have? So you personal progress made like a changelog?I'm using a TODO list, but it should be slightly modified to be posted as a roadmap...may be, I'll do a public roadmap one day.

Everything I've done I write down into svn commit messages, and keep some major parts of it in GIMS changelog.

I'm using a TODO list, but it should be slightly modified to be posted as a roadmap...may be, I'll do a public roadmap one day.

Will texture scripts works on the first version? I mean like script_mule or what ever. That scripted animation materials that we can found on TVs or cars or anything that got a display somehow

I don't know what're you talking about.

Animations're stored in separate files in GTA IV, I dunno how they're made in V.
