EmagmaLak
Said it before in topics like this, and ill say it again. I find Halo to be complete ASS. Ive never ever liked, or remotely enjoyed any Halo game, and its not threw fault of trying. **EDIT** Also, i find Red Dead to be majorly overrated. Bought it on release day, played it for like an hour then never touched it again. Edited July 12, 2012 by tms_junk
Algonquin Assassin
GTA IV is boring, because there is nothing to do, apart from drive around, assault and kill people... Literally, not ONE other criminal activity is available for you to take part in. For a game based on crime, called GTA... That is ridiculously pathetic. They should seriously loose their idiotic focus on things like bowling, and focus on a better melee combat system, focus on the ability to mug people, rob houses / shops and focus on an in depth drug dealing system i can use when ever i want (TBOGT has mission based drug deals, unrealistic and limited, they ended after a while also.) And bring back things like import / export, taxi / police / ambulance / fire truck missions. People who say that kind of activity doesn't fit certain GTA protagonists? Get real you idiots, GTA protags go round stealing cars and murdering people for no reason. Muggings and robberies clearly suit them a whole lot more than bowling / darts etc. I'm not saying get rid of things like bowling etc, but they need to concentrate logically on CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES. As this is a game called Grand Theft Auto, based on crime. /Rant over. Oh there's so much ignorance in this post I can't resist commenting. Not a single criminal based activity huh? I guess drug runs for LJ, import/exports for Brucie, assassinations for The Fixer, Stevie's cars, vigilante and most wanted missions are all imaginative aren't they? As for bowling and whatnot mind explaining how driving an ambulance or firetruck fits into the criminal world more? Hey who knows maybe some criminals might like bowling or play some pool, darts etc .I'm sure criminals have passtimes too however I can't picture a criminal driving a ambulance or firetruck. Quite frankly your post is hypocritical. It's alright to include menial everyday jobs which have nothing to do with crime, but bowling, darts etc don't fit in the world of GTA? Xcommunicated. SA is the only GTA to have attributes so I'm not sure why you've worded like GTA IV is the only one not to include it. Personally I found it unnecessary. GTA isn't an RPG. I hated building up skills to get the most out of shooting, driving, flying etc. Ok wow, the drug runs you mentioned are mission based, they disappear after completion. Assassinations are mission based, and is just murder. Not really anything new in terms of criminal activity there. You could just call them another mission. Plus they disappear after completion. Import / Export with Brucie? I must have forgot about that. Vigilante missions are cool on IV. However the lack of any other mission of that type is just inexcusable. (Ambulance, Fire truck, Taxi (Which is only on IV and disappear after completion) the list goes on.) EDIT : Oh yeah, just remembered vigilante missions were taken away for TLAD and TBOGT I never said the side vehicle missions were criminal based i just said they should make a return. Of course criminals have pass times and hobbies, but this is a game based on crime, if i wanted to go bowling i could do so quite easily in real life, however, i'm not exactly gonna go rob someone's house am i. Criminal activities are so ridiculously limited on IV its unbelievable, the fact they choose bowling and sh*t over actual crimes proves their priorities are not in the right place. Criminals of noticeable calibre mug people / rob houses / rob stores a whole lot more then they go bowling. And if you read my post properly you would have realized i don't want to get rid of bowling / darts / snooker, i just want them to add actual activity that could be considered criminal. The point I was making wasn't that these missions disapeared after a while it was to counter your claim that GTA IV has no criminal based activities which is bullsh*t. Doesn't matter whether they're side missions or what. Robbing houses in SA was also mission based too. You can techically rob in GTA IV also. Certain places have cash registers which can have money stolen. Mugging is non existent I'll say, but it's not a game breaker. I just find how you keep focusing on bowling extremely short sighted. GTA IV has as much criminal based activity as the other GTAs do. There's more to the criminal underworld world than petty theft.

Personally I found it unnecessary. What? I seem to recall III and VC having ambulance missions that awarded infinite stamina, rampage missions that rewarded infinite ammo, fire missions rewarded fire resistance, vigilante missions that rewarded bribe stars in III and extra armor in VC, pizza boy missions rewarded extra health in VC and shooting range completion increased reload times of weapons in VC. What you found unnecessary, some of us found to be hours of fun gameplay that rewarded the player with an improved character capable of generating and sustaining a greater level of chaos both inside and outside of missions i.e. good old GTA fun. All of this being sacrificed for the sake of "realism" in IV. They could have still kept to their realism fetish and only granted things like 2x ammo instead of infinite, 2x stamina instead of infinite etc. There was simply no good reason to throw it all that rewarding gameplay out. friendly luggage
Halo Reach is boring compared to Halo 3 Oblivion is better than Skyrim Gears of War is starting to get milked GTA IV is the best GTA made to date. It has a good story, detailed city, awesome driving mechanics and a pretty good but basic multiplayer. I can't play III era GTA now because it feels and looks too dated. AceRay
Also, i find Red Dead to be majorly overrated. Bought it on release day, played it for like an hour then never touched it again. The game is slowly paced, you don't fight any bad guys in the first hour. You race horses and stuff and learn the game. If you played it to, say, the Marshall Johnson missions, you'd find out why people like it so much.
thatstupidbug
- MGS4 has horrible plot twist. I hate expecially 1) ocelot was never possessed by liquid in MGS2/4, so the awesome fights between them in shadow moses an the one in the end are pointless. Plus, one of the greatest moment in the awful- MGS2 (the moment where snake, liquid and solidous are finally "together") is totally ruined, sice liquid isn't there anymore 2) big boss is still alive: it makes sense, but the great scene where EVA dies and burn with him is lost forever, since that isn't big boss - GTA IV is boring, and, while the car crash physic is good, the driving physic is horrible. I do not want to slow down for corners and balance the braking when i'm chasing by hundred of angry cops - Grand prix 2 is the best formula game EVER - RDR was disappointing, since the final battles are horrible: dutch van der Linde just jump to death in a cut-scene, you can't save john marston, and Edgar ross is killed is a quick (and boring) duel. And i don't care if "the final battle are disappointing because the game teach that there's no reward in vengeance", that's a GAME and i want to PLAY and enjoying a great ending. Sunrise Driver
-GTA 4 has more things to do than GTA 3 (actually it's more like a fact). -24 The Game and The Getaway are better PS2 exclusives than GoW, Killzone and FF. Simon_V
Max Payne 3 was as good as the previous Max Payne games. Alan Wake was the best XBox 360 Exclusive. I hate Skyrim. Borderlands is NOT a game. Resident Evil 5 is great. Grand Theft Auto IV is the best in the series, right now.
TheKnownUnknown
Despite what everybody says, Sonic 06 for Xbox was the sh*t. I <3 it. My favorite GTA is VCS, mainly because it was the first GTA that I owned. Skyrim is so overrated

Troll Proof
The NFS series are overrated, except for Shift, a masterpiece, GT5 is fanboy hype. Test Drive Unlimited is not a true driving game, GTA IV is the best GTA/open world game ever. Saints Row 1 was actually good; so was MCLA and Driver SF, Halo is corny but its co-op is more fun than online play.
Benzoboy
Borderlands is NOT a game. People get butthurt over other peoples opinions and can't resist replying. It's inevitable that people are going to call each other out. Just as long as it remains civil and people offer some explanation to their counter opinions, we'll be ok. Another unpopular opinion: I actually enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever. Everything up to The Hive level is pretty much crap, but it got better through the second half. First play through I beat it on Come Get Some difficulty and the Octaking boss fight is probably the hardest thing I've beaten in any game. The game still had lame check point only saves, but they weren't too badly spaced. Overall I wouldn't by any means call it a great game for 2011, but it's not the heap of sh*t a lot of people made it out to be either. I hope to see DN5 some day. friendly luggage
This and the fact that TF2 sucks in my opinion. But why does it suck? It's a team based game with lots of classes each unique and well balanced. There are dedicated servers and custom maps by the fans which keep things fresh. I was on a payload minecraft map the other day and it was very cool.
Claude4Catalina
i hate skyrim. This and the fact that TF2 sucks in my opinion. TF2 was a fun game, f*cking hilarious to throw in the 360 and have a quick shoot up but I personally cant see the appeal in playing it day in day out. possible unpopular opinion: Operation Flashpoint: Red River is one of the best current gen FPS games. its still got the shootouts, the unlockables, the character banter and such, but there's something about it that places it between Call of Duty/Battlefield and a reality sim that I like. can still have fun with the air support, the variable weapons and the vehicles but not feel like you're playing a Michael Bay movie. Coral_City
- Why do sports games even exist any more? Are you Serious? FIFA is the only sports game people play. @Street Mix How can you not think Half Life 1 and 2 are one of the best shooters of this generation? Yes I'm serious. It's the same thing over and over again but with new rosters and updated graphics. Sports games are a lot like CoD, except nobody has the balls to tell it like it is.
